We stayed in hotel meridiana for two nights. It was in a perfect location for us as it was a 2 minute walk to the train station which is where the hop on and off bus goes from. The hotel was very basic but it was one of the only hotels in the area that didn't have a shared bathroom....

Me and my husband stayed in hotel for nine nights. The room was comfortable and every day it was cleaned. The reception guys were helpfull and kind, with the basics of english. The location was very good, we get almost everywere on foot. We will certainly recommend this hotel.

We had a one night stay here after an evening flight and arrived very late, which wasn't deemed as a problem. The hotel is 5 -10 minutes walk from the Termini, which makes it convenient. It's a proper backstreet hotel like something you see in the movies. Reception is up a couple of flights of stairs which isn't ideal if...

Indeed what a great find! My friends and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, not expecting much as the price we paid was very cheap for a BB in central rome. The location is perfect, 2 blocks away from Termini Station. The Rooms are basic but very clean. Staff were excellent and very friendly especially Silvano! Breakfast was...

It s a fair choice and one of the best value for money services that you will get in Rome. Regarding the room I attach a lot of photos. Rooms are clear and well maintained. The personnel doesn't speak English but they are so positive that they will give you a solution in any problem. They charge extra 5e/day for...

Clean sheets and bathroom. Staff was super nice and the location of the hotel is great. Italian breakfast is ok. Rooms are a little small and the wifi is not working in the rooms which are the most away from the reception.

Rooms are small and no great views but for us this is not essential as we got up and went out every morning and did not return until night time. If your heading to Rome and want a hotel with a reasonable price and great location to travel to all the touristy spots this is perfect! Termini is a couple...

Me and my bf went there a couple of days ago and stayed for 3 nights. We booked it at hostel.com and somehow I thought it was a hostel at first. I was suprised by how good the standard was and we got the room + private bathroom for a very fair price. The location is obviously kind of perfect,...

Spent one night here while waiting for a connecting flight. Pros: The hotel is close to Termini which helps, but the street out the front doesn't feel particularly safe. Bathroom was fairly modern, shower had hot water which was great. Room served breakfast (though we left before breakfast) Cons: Stairs only - If you have a 20kg suitcase, I hope...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
