Neighbourhood
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

The hotel location is amazing as it is very close to the central station (train, metro, and bus) around 200 m from the hotel. The staff are very kind and helpful. If you are looking for practicality, it's a great choice. Lots of halal food restaurants around the corner

Our Air B&B option never showed so we had an emergency need for a hotel, with no reservation, in the area so that we didn’t have to haul luggage across town. We walked to Hotel Giorgina, and were treated respectfully and graciously, offered a very functional room with A/C and

Was there air conditioning?
Hi Theresa We went in May and the building is naturally cool We opened the window and it was fine - was never uncomfortably hot or noisey But I'd imagine if going later in the year you'd need the air con Hope this helps!
