It's centrally located and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is rather limited, but very fresh especially the croissants! Our room was spacious and quite comfy. The only downside is that noise from the traffic outside can be annoying at night though closed windows help to muffle the noise. Room was functional, but needs to be refurbished. All in all...

Staff were excellent, very helpful and accommodated any request we had. Alice in reception, went through all the sights to see around Rome and where they were. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Air-con was great. Breakfast was nice, and we had to leave early before breakfast one morning and the staff arranged a takeaway breakfast for us. Located...

The rooms are quite clean, and the maid works very hard to clean everyday. Usually they start to prepare breakfast at 7 am. Breakfast only contains a croissant and a bread, plus drink. There are plates cups and utensils in room for us to use for breakfast, we sometimes use them to eat snacks and fruits we bought from grocery...

We had a lovely time staying at Welcome House. We liked he service and the location. It was walkabke frm colosseum and so close to nice restaurants and the Republica metro station. Our host was kind and welcoming and the service lady was accomodating. We liked the decir and the breakfast in the room.

The name says it all "Welcome House" - staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and bed comfortable and serviced daily. Excellent value for money, centrally situated with easy access, via walking and/or good bus service to most tourist attractions.

We had 6 nights here and nothing to complain about. Great value for money and they clean every day and we got fresh towels every day too. The room is a bit small but for that price in an European City it's okay. The only thing is that if you want breakfast before 8am you only get dry cakes. Of...

Good location. Comfortable bed. Typical continental breakfast. This hotel is hidden inside another hotel. There is no sign indicating "Welcome House". We were not "welcomed", in fact we were reprimanded for being late even though we came directly to the hotel and were not delayed at all. The bathroom had lots of mold. The noise of the paper bag with...

Dear Mrs. Victoria, We are so surprised to read you have been reprimanded because you arrived late! We asked the lady who has received you and she told us that she asked about your delay since your arrival time at the airport was h 12:20 and usually it takes about 2 hours to get at the hotel and you are...

The staff were very friendly and helped us to feel very welcome. Breakfast was as advertised (ie continental), room fairly quiet due to soundproofing on the window. Location is excellent with Repubblica Metro two minutes walk, but most of Rome is near enough to walk to. Excellent value for money.

The service is zilch for the price one pays..if being closer to the main train station Termini is considered to be a good location, then so be it but that is pretty much it...the receptionists are hardly available at their desk and the breakfast is actually an insult to what we have always known as breakfast- insufficient and extremely poor!...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
