While the Hotel Golden may lack some of the amenities of a larger hotel, it has much to recommend it: Pleasant location, warm welcome, excellent home-cooked breakfast, and helpful tips and assistance with restaurants and sights. We hope to return next year.

There are so many good things to say about this Hotel that I don't even know where to start! I believe that what differentiates this Hotel from others in Rome is definitely the service... Absolutely amazing! Each member of the Loria family is there to help you out with very good recommendations on places to visit and eat in Rome...

I had a very nice stay in the hotel. Loria's family are very friendly and the whole 6days of stay with them feels like we're just at home. As Giuseppe told us this is not just a hotel for them, but it is their own house and they want for us to feel like this. Our stay in Rome was...

Our apologies for our late review, our bad. We had a wonderful 4 nights in room 110 in May 2016. You open the window, and there is the Roman Wall with a Roman General embedded in the wall. Your own personal art. How cool is that? This is a family run hotel on 1 floor of a building. Hotel is...

Booked directly from their website in order to get some discount, mine was a last minute booking. Got a renovated room, right next to the reception. Bed is very comfortable, bathroom big for being Rome and nice aspect, Sky TV had Sport included. Location is amazing, not probably the most popular among tourists, but it is safe, next to American...

I chose Hotel Golden for our stay in Rome based on previous reviews of how helpful and accommodating this family-owned hotel was to previous reviewers. I'm glad to add my positive opinion to the list of fortunate visitors. We arrived early after disembarking from a cruise that morning (port to hotel transfer gratefully arranged by Hotel Golden). They were quick...

We were a family of 5 and we booked the family suite. It was very spacious and ideal for our 3 children to bounce around. The other thing we love about the hotel is the location. It is not in the heart of town but it is still convenient. A slow 10 min stroll takes you past Via Francesca Crispi...

Very friendly family, welcoming and giving a personal feeling. We enjoyed very much their recomendations and felt that they are doing their best so we will enjoy Rome. They provided a nice upgrade, which made our life really easy with our two children.

We loved our stay. It was more like staying with family than at a hotel. Mama made breakfast with all her heart. It was fabulous. Each family member works the desk and would greet us upon our return being interested in our daily adventures. The rooms were comfortable and provided an old world charm. The location was perfect to the...

Arrived at hotel Golden vía Milan and Montecatini by car this time. Streets were jammed with cars with restaurant parking on a Saturday evening. Giuseppe came down from the hotel, took the keys and drove to a nearby free parking spot that only a resident would know. I told him I would pay to park but he wouldn't hear of...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
