Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.

I stayed here in November 2018 to support a family member in a local hospital. I was met when I arrived - there isn't a standard hotel reception. The person who met me (the owner's father?) was very helpful and provided me with information about local restaurants etc - this

This converted villa is located on the opposite side of the Borghese Gardens. It has been completely renovated in a lovely fashion. The room was spacious, the linens top notch, and extremely well maintained....thanks to Rinata. The owner, Alexander is most gracious and charming.

Yes it is probably one of the safer areas. It is an embassy district and pretty high end real estate area. It is a neighborhood setting. It is about a 10 minute walk to the restaurant area. Well lit. If you are comfortable walking around main streets of major cities at night, it is at that level of comfort or better.
