Situated right by the main train station of Rome-Hotel Farini is relatively clean, friendly and equipped with NECESSARY accommodations for travelers. While I don't recommend it for high-maintenance travelers, it is perfect for people like me who simply need a clean and simple room with a good price. The staff is super friendly and assists their guests at all times....

The hotel situated next to the police station, so you can look up and will see a sign of the hotel name. It wasn't hard for us to find at all. I had some misunderstanding with my payment and the owner was very supportive and nice. She tried to call everyone she could to help me. The room was small,...

Luckily my boyfriend and I only stayed in this hotel for one night, and that was more than enough! Firstly we could not even find the hotel as it was hidden away on Via Farini with no sign! Once we finally found the hotel and managed to get in, the lift did not work so we had to carry all...

I spent 4 days in the hotel with my fiancé. The hotel is int the trafic centre of Rome, 2 minutes from Termini. The room was clear, big and comfortable. The employees were very nice and helpful. It is a perfect 2 stars hotel with very good price :) Bernadett and Gábor from Hungary

The place was nice clean and good to just sleep in. Breakfast was not very good. The hotel was only one floor of an apartment building. Wasn't the best but it is what you need for a couple of days. The WIFI was good if you are closer to the front of the hotel in the back it was really...

A very basic hotel indeed with no facilities outside the room. When you eventually find the hotel there is a very heavy wood door to get through. Hopefully someone will be on reception so you can use the intercom but we found that reception was unmanned most of the time so take their telephone number. Usual euro tax per night...

This really small, quite humble, but so friendly hotel is a great place to stay if you want a cheap place near the central station in Rome. Yes, it's a bit dingy and the cleaning of the room is not very thorough. Yes, the breakfast is kind of like two muffins rapped in plastic and a peace of cardboard. And...

Booked through Travel Republic for one week 10 - 17 July 2011 for bed and breakfast at the Farini Hotel Rome. Had to come back after two days as could not sleep for worrying. Hotel advertises 24 reception and if that had been the case we could have stayed but in truth we were given 3 keys to let ourselves...

My first remark would be this is not a Hotel. Whatever I was promised was not there. When got to the (around 9:00 PM) Hotel there were nobody from the Hotel Management. A tenant from the building gave me the key. The space was only to fit a bed. I hardly could put my lugage. A/C, TV was not working....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
