The room was very nice: good bed and shower, fridge, air conditioning. The guy at the reception was very nice and helpful. The location of Casa Carra is pretty good, just next to the Vitorio Emanuele metro station, one station from Rome Termini central station. The breakfast at the cafetaria next door was nothing special but okay.

We ended up in Casa Carra after quite a lot of searching and we stayed very satisfied with our choice! The room was the cleanest of those we have stayed in, cleaned up every day (except change of sheets as we had our own). Quite noisy if you'd like to open the balcony door which actually wasn’t necessary for us...

The room was very clean, the staff were unbelievably helpful! We only stayed 2 nights, on arrival we were given advice where to visit & when along with a map. We would not have managed to see half of what we did see if they hadn't given us such brilliant advice!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
