Ok, to start with the location is excellent. Close to the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and a few others.
Now there is no indication when you book that you have to negotiate stairs or that reception is in a completely different location, or that...More
We were lucky enough to have stayed in room 405 which gave us 2 balconies with lovely views. From our window facing via Del Corso we could see the Vittorio Emanuel building. Everything is in walking distance so a fantastic location. Room itself was very...More
The hotel was very cosy and very central. Perfect for unloading bags whilst sightseeing or shopping or just getting away from the summer heat for a few hours. Great service. Would definitely recommend.
The hotel is in an old building, but in a very good condition, fully renovated but keeping the traditional air of Rome. Our room was on the top floor, with two small balconies with a lovely view to Via del Corso and the Vittorio Emanuele...More
If you want a cheap and central hotel in the city of Rome this is a good choice. Friendly staff and clean room. Powerful AC helpt us handle the 40degree heat.

Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. As other people have responded, this hotel does not offer their own transportation to or from the airport, so we just took a cab. Gave the driver the exact address, and he had no problem getting us there.

A cab is the way to go here. 1/2 block from the hotel there is a cab waiting area where in the mornings, and most of the day, there are two lines of cabs waiting. This is at Piazza San Silvestro. Simply walk out the door and hail a cab. Also, when getting a cab ride to the hotel you will want to mention that it is next to the Piazza San Silvestro, just in case the cabbie isn't familiar with the hotel name.
