The hotel was basic but you got what you paid for. The room was perfect for the three nights we were there, clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helped with any queries we had. The hotel was only a ten minute walk from then subway, trams and buses which takes you to the main sightseeing spots and...

We stayed here, as a base whilst visiting the main attractions of Rome. Although the hotel was basic, it did what it said on the tin! Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the typical, continental arrangement, but was of good quality and plentiful. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Only downside was the amount of noise from staff at night/early...

Although our room was tended too and cleaned everyday. Breakfast is filling for a full day ahead of sight seeing. One particular problem we had was other residents staying at the hotel were exceedingly loud, especially late at night. I felt this was inconsiderate, front desk was informed and nothing came of it. Hotel is around a 15 min walk...

The hotel is in a quiet residential street but only 5 minutes walk from the metro. It's also within easy walking distance of the colosseum and there are some nice restaurants around the area as well. Supermarket at the end of the street is handy as well. The hotel staff were friendly and fairly helpful on the whole. On the...

We stayed here for 2 nights. We were allowed an early check in which was a good gesture. The hotel is average. It's just like a b&b and doesn't qualify to be a 3 star hotel. Small rooms, average breakfast, and average hospitality. The location of the hotel also isn't so great. Quite a distance from the railway station and...

The hotel was perfect for our needs which consisted of a 2 night city break before heading down to the Amalfi coast. Breakfast serving area is pretty cramped, but has all the essentials of a good continental breakfast. The hotel is located in a safe area about 15 minute walk to the Colosseum.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
