What a lovely tour. It all started when we were approached by a street vendor touting how great the tour is. We were a bit apprehensive at first but decided to check out the office. The fee for the tour was very reasonable (41€) for two persons after some negotiations and we skipped the long line. The tour guide was... More

Me and my boyfriend already had a ticket for the Vatican (sixtine chapel & museum) and the employee of the Caput Mundi told us we NEEDED to pay to visit the Basilica San Pietro... They told us we needed to pay another fee. So we bought their tour for much money to be able to go there. The guide was... More

This is a very good hotel near the central train station of Rome. The people running the place are friends and helpful. You will always be close to the metro station, trains from this hotel and better yet, there is a bus terminal near the hotel. Therefore, no matter if you are going to the catacombs or Vatican City, you... More

Thank you very much for giving us such a high value, very appreciated (I am the one who helped you with the main door in the evening). You are a very polite and very pleasant person. So sorry that I haven't had a chance to talk to you more. As for the breakfast you are absolutely right, we used to... More

We came to this hotel after randomly searching for some accommodation. We hit some trouble with our original bookingđ at another hotel so were forced to look elsewhere for the night. The staff was very helpful, very nice and kind. They answered all our questions in good English and informed us about everything. The room we stayed in (room 32)... More

I visited Rome with my father for the first time (for about 6 days). We stayed in this hotel for the first 4 days. It was extremely easy to get there, and even easier to go shopping. The staff was very helpful, they gave us a map and directions for any place we wanted to go to. Also, nearby there... More

The best thing is very near to station and budget hotel. People are friendly for helping the best possible way to make a tour at Rome. Though we have reached around 11.00hrs, but they have provided the breakfast in that night as we have to check out next day around 6am. The room is bit small otherwise it is comfortable.

This hotel was very very good. It was a budget hotel very close to the train station, which made it really great. I'm not so sure the neighbourhood was the greatest at night but during the day it was fine. The hotel itself was really good. We were a group of 18 and they were very accommodating. They didn't have... More

This hotel is super close to Rome Termini station and not too far a walk from some tourist attractions (Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps are about 20-30 min walk from here). It didn't feel like the safest area outside on the street, but once inside and in our room, we enjoyed our stay here -- we stayed 4 nights.... More

We stayed here for one night and weren't expecting much to be honest - when we initially walked into the lobby, I had my doubts. I needn't have worried. The room was lovely. Small, but enough 'breathing space' for two people. Nice shower room - again, small, but enough space to move. It was clean and well maintained with an... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
