Stayed 3 nights. We arrived very early in the morning and I had emailed the hotel to let them know. They were expecting us and greeted us warmly, invited us to take breakfast after we'd settled in to our room. The hotel is old but...More
The hotel was too old, there wasn't any window at our room. It doesn't deserve the its score. Yes it is close to city centre but I think that isn't enough. There was a strange smell in the hotel because of its age.
For a three star hotel, you are getting what you pay for and more. All of the staff were extremely friendly, good English and happy to help with any questions. We booked through booking.com and our reservation did not include breakfast. The reception staff told...More

Lovely, clean, airy room. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared. Though fresh coffee would have been much nicer. Friendly and professional staff, especially the night desk staff. Immaculate building with a superb roof top terrace which is great for a sundowner!

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
