Like other reviewers, I am up at 2 am. The lights from the window are so bright it’s insane. And yes, there is no ac only heat. I talked to the front desk and the whole building switched over to heat so no changing it....More
The hotel is in an excellent location and very clean .Great staff especially Gianluca at the front desk who was very helpful and Fifi serving us coffee. I highly recommend Impero hotel in fact this was our second stay this year .

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Shuttles from ciampino airport are frequent during the day and the most effective way to reach the city center. From Fiumicino you can catch the train to Roma Tiburtina OR Roma Termini - I'm not sure which stop is closest to the hotel. You'll need to check the metro system and see hoe far the closest metro station is positioned. If I'm not mistaken there should be one in the immediate vicinity
