Good hotel overall.....bed a bit hard and basic breakfast. Room and toilet/ shower area good size. Handy for buses and trains at Termini. Receptionists very helpful and breakfast waitress excellent. Partner on trip is vegan and waitress obtained soya milk specifically for us.

This 3 star hotel has one of the best locations. Its a stone's throw away from Roma Termini Station and has all the markets and restaurants by its side. The receptionists were all warm and welcoming. I had booked a single bed room which was tidy and well equipped and the room services were totally up to the mark. Only...

If you're looking for a cheap stay near Roma Termini, I'd recommend this. It's tired and peeling but otherwise clean and good enough if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep. TV all Italian with not even news in English but it's a budget hotel in a central location - about 20mins walk from the main attractions (and five times...

I was looking for a last-minute break in Rome and decided to choose Hotel Stromboli as it seemed fairly cheap and in a central location. The room itself (508) had a noisy air conditioning unit and seemed stripped to the bare minimum. The shower in the bathroom was terrible as the water didn't seem to drain quickly and the shower...

Very small old-fashion style hotel close to the main station. The rooms very small with basically no view but who cares about the view if comes to visit Rome? It was clean with fresh renovated little bathroom. The towels were exchanged every single day. The room has standard equipment. There is LAN available for an extra price of (I think...

You have to pay for everything in this hotel. I asked for a two hour extension (late checkout) and i was asked to pay 25 euro. Despite the fact that free wifi was advertised to be available in the lobby, the rude staff didnt provide us with the password as the same wifi would work in our rooms. Staff was...

I booked this hotel with my boyfriend and only looked at reviews a couple of days before we were due to go. I got really worried because the reviews were awful but our stay really couldn't have been much better! We had a front room and it was a bit noisy but if you want to be close to the...

So bad. Smelly. Moldy. Rude staff. Tiny. Infested with bugs. Should be a prison. They would not give my dad and I a refund even though we left after one night, having had to stay there due to arriving so late at night. This was so bad. Never ever stay here save yourselves the trauma.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
