A lovely hotel, just what you need and expect from a 3*! Comfy bed, decent bathroom, continental breakfast and clean. What more do you want in a city like Rome that needs exploring. Wardrobe with hangers, electronic safe, kettle, TV and A/C. Busy road outside but central location with in easy reach of all sights.

This hotel was cheap at £160 bed & breakfast for 3 nights in August! Therefore my hopes weren't that high! However we were pleasantly surprised, it was perfect for what we required. It was exactly what we needed, we went to Rome to be outside not in our hotel but the hotel met our needs for when we needed it....

To begin with, this is a relatively inexpensive hotel. You knew that when you looked at it. However, I would have no qualms about staying again. The breakfast as a nice bonus on top of an excellent and accommodating staff. Our room was cleaned daily, and, although the room was small, I wasn't there for the room. I was there...

Max is a great guy, and the apartments are perfect for Rome. Look no further! This place is not too tiny, but has a very clean and comfy feel to it. The location is superb for sightseeing and staying in Rome.

I need to say I was slightly dissapointed. I knew this was a cheap hotel at a good location, but it is véry very basic. The bed was as hard as sleeing on the floor, the entrance of the hallways of the rooms was so cheap, brrr. Being in the room it sound like there was not a door at...

Hotel max could be any of a thousand hotels in room. One or two floors ,a dozen rooms, spartan furnishings.still, its cheap and literally less than 5 minutes to the train station. The hotel has an elevator ( the hotel is on the 3rd and 4th floors. Breakfast was surprisingly good!

The hotel is very basic but in a great location ---- a 5 minute walk from Termini. We were put in a stuffy room where the AC didn't work. We were then moved to a noisy room next to reception. Breakfast was good.

This is advertised to be a hotel when in reality it is a suite of third floor rooms in an office building. . To get to the "hotel" elevator we had to lug our cases up two flights of steps in an unsecured office building entrance. The room we were allocated was tiny but very clean but there was continual...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
