Neighbourhood
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

The hotel and room were lovely, clean and felt homely. The reception staff were fantastic answering any questions we had. My only point to mention was the shower and hot water. I struggled to get a warm shower during 'peak' times and it did put a bit of a downer on the

Hello we are visiting the hotel next week and just checking the rooms have hairdryers? Thanks.
It's in the bathroom and it's one of those that you have to have your finger on the switch the whole time you're using it.

The room we had was small. But that's what we've heard with rooms in Europe. It was set-up as twins with a "sofa-like" bed on one side, big enough for a child or shorter adult. There was a refrigerator that wasn't very cold and an in-room safe. The TV had all Italian stations. The bathroom had 2 sinks, the toilet, and a shower. Rooms were close together and weren't very soundproof. Outside our door was a coffee/tea station. Some guests were drinking coffee/tea as late as 10pm and not very considerate for others as they were speaking loud and laughing. Located across from an opera house, it was close to many restaurants and the hop on/hop off bus stop.

"Take advantage of the cool shower!!!"
"Keep in mind the building is older, so the walls are a little thin, but everything works well and has loads of charm."
