Stayed in an apartment for 4 people with my husband and teenage son. I had been nervous of us all “sharing a room” but the sofa bed provided for our (tall) son was reassuringly large and comfortable and the internal doors provided our son with plenty of privacy. Kitchenette was very well equipped and the apartment also has a decent balcony. Breakfast was well stocked and included some cooked foods. We didn’t use the pool so I can’t comment on it. Hotel is clean and staff are helpful.

The hotel is situated very close to a local train station which allows you to get into central Rome in 30-40 minutes by changing onto the Metro. Be warned: the trains can be sporadic later in the evening (and non existent on train strike days, as we found to our cost!) so it’s worth checking out buses or even considering a taxi home which costs around €20.

Would recommend this place but it is further away from the main tourist sites than I’d realised (my fault entirely for not researching better) and Rome is a very big city. The Adagio is well located for the Vatican though.

Overall it’s a great hotel, ideal for families.

Much larger rooms than the normal Adagio in France. The hotel was evidently another chain so the furnishings and public spaces are not standardized. Our first room had some mechanical issues and we were moved to another room with newer furniture, oven and a shower instead of tub which we liked. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. There is a restaurant next door with reasonable prices and a train station less than a block away for easy access to the city and sights. A fairly large grocery store is located about 10 blocks from the hotel. We had a car and the grocery store has indoor parking on the side road which came in handy as parking in the area is very hard to find if almost non-existent.

Set someway outside of the city centre this apartment style hotel was great for our needs. The room had a large balcony, sink, fridge, cooker, plenty of wardrobe space and large bathroom, all kept to a good standard. We didn't bother with the breakfast so can't comment, the restaurant next door was great for the evening meal. On the first day we walked down to the Vatican - about 40 minutes, and then took a train back to the local station which is right next door to the hotel. The trains are frequent, clean, safe and cheap and we had no problems getting them to and from Rome centre - takes around 15 minutes with a swap over to the Metro. If you are after a late night clubbing in Rome, then its not convenient but might I suggest you should be paying the premium and staying in the centre? Or just get a cab back, its not going to be more then 10-20 euros. Unfortunately we were too early in the season to try the pool but our room overlooked it and it seemed very nicely maintained and clean, like the rest of the hotel really.

Picked this hotel due to the additional features of the room such as having a fridge and kitchenette. It was a bit outside of the city which meant it was quite a bit cheaper than staying in the city centre. You can reach the Vatican and central parts of the city by regional train or by bus, both fairly regular during the day but a bit more sporadic in the evening.

Staff were friendly, there’s a small mini market onsite that has a few drinks and snacks. Didn’t have breakfast or use the pool.

Room which was a studio for 2 was really spacious and good value. The shower room was a bit temperamental you were at risk flooding the room if you didnt have the door closed in a specific way but otherwise okay.

You’re expected to take your rubbish out to the bins and clean the kitchen before leaving if you used it, as there is no turndown service.

Overall, pretty good and for £50 a night in Jan, not bad really!

Hotel was cheap and had a pool that’s why we choose it. The floor in both Rooms was not clean right from the start. So we started walking around in Flip Flops. We spent 7 nights, we knew it came without housekeeping but to get fresh towels they charge 3 Euro per towel. I mean at least fresh towels should be included. Also bring your own for the Pool because you are Not allowed to take the towels from the room. We had once breakfast, nothing special. I would suggest eat somewhere else. Bed is comfortable but bathroom smelled the whole week even with open windows. Some staff was a friendly some not so much. We got shouted at once because we used the entrance as Exit. Nobody was in the lobby.
Pool is nice but needs renovation badly. The floor of the Pool is Peeling of and the Kids have fun with it. Be prepared to stay outside the city center of Rome. Bus990 is close by but runs on no schedule. We waited sometimes for 30 minutes. Train is next to the hotel but doesn’t run as often as well.
Covid: temperature checks at checkin and every time you go to the Pool.
You have to wear mask inside the hotel!
If you come in summer you want to have a pool and when you are in a budget stay in this hotel. If you don’t need a pool stay somewhere else. Restaurant beside the hotel is Great!

What a brilliant hotel.

Staff great and helpful, very clean , our room 505 was on the top floor was large clean and comfortable, we overlooked the walking and cycling path, very quiet .

I thought when we got there the lifts being tony would be a problem but they werent

We had breakfast one day it was not to our taste but im sure it was fine for people who like cold meats etc

The best bit was the pool, lovely perfect temperature, had a lifeguard when it was busy, always enough seats and was perfect after a lot of walking around rome

Location was a bit of a pain local train and then underground but it worked , i think the trains stopped quite early if you were stayin in Rome late.
For us the cost of the hotel with a pool happy for that slight inconvenience it was only 1.50 euro to get into rome so very cheap,

Stayed here for four nights with family (4 people). Room suites are huge with bedroom, living room (with sofa bed that converts into double/twin beds), kitchen, bathroom (with shower) and balcony. Kitchen has all modern amenities and large fridge with freezer compartment. Local supermarkets about five minutes walk away. The location is a little outside of downtown but easily accessible through train station next door to hotel. It does take some mastery of the Rome public transport system but this is easily learned and pretty good value (about 7 Euros for an adult transport card a day that allows access to all Rome public transport (trains, buses, subway, trams). Kids under 10 ride free). Hotel staff are lovely and helpful for transport queries, food recommendations etc.
Pool was great for kids in the afternoon (but you have to ask the lifeguard for an umbrella for shade if shaded loungers are taken). Plenty of local food options if you don't want to eat in your apartment.

The hotel reception is very clean/ modernised which was nice, our room however was very outdated but was clean and comfortable for the stay. We were staying in what seemed like an attic which we had to go up a separate flight of stairs to which wasn’t very convenient with suitcases. The staff weren’t overly friendly but overall it’s an average hotel, but cheap and cheerful if it’s just a place to sleep while exploring the city. Uber to the cities are very affordable, we never paid over 25 and the restaurant on the doorstep is fantastic so if you are staying i’d highly recommend both.

The Aparthotel is located 1,5 km from the Vatican city, close to the train or the bus.
I booked for a small apartment and I had a free update to a bigger one.
Apartment is ok, all is needed is included, the kitchen complete of all, clean, fantastic and friendly staff.
The price is good too.
Negative aspects:
the noise, not from outside but from other apartments, you can heard what your neighbors do; the walls are not soundproofed at all.
It's not a 4 stars hotel. The quality of the cabinets, bathroom and the kitchen is very poor.
I aready was in other Adagio hotel in Paris and the quality was surely higher.

The hotel felt safe and clean, with the front desk always manned with very helpful and friendly staff. We needed to contact them to sort out a couple of issues and they could not have been more helpful, sorting things out immediately.

Our apartment was spacious and clean with all amenities needed in the kitchen. The bathroom was clean and adequate but needed some maintenance. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable for our teenagers but with additional mattresses, things improved. The main bed, however, was very comfortable with access to a great balcony.

The hotel is conveniently located next to a station with travel tickets available from the tobacconist next door. We found it very easy to use the trains and local buses, just put the destination into Google Maps and get directions using public transport, buses and trains all arrived as expected. The coffee shop next to that is a lovely place to get breakfast or lunch.
