Clean and modern, comfortable beds, and a lift to get luggage up to the 2nd floor. The 650m walk from the station (Roma Termini) is quite long and over cobble stones it's quite taxing. Without a local Sim card/mobile phone we would have struggled severely, although i let the owner know when we would be arriving we still had to... More

First of all, when we got there at around 9.30 PM, nobody answered the phone at the gate. We were incredibly lucky that some other travelers arrived a couple of minutes later, visiting another hotel in the same building. When we reached our floor, nobody was there (obviously), even though we had specifically informed them when we would arrive (which... More

My girlfriend and I were staying in Rome for a few days looking for a budget place to stay. This place has everything you need if you are young and don't need luxuries. It was a very small room, but had everything you would need. The internet was great. I wish the room had a fridge, but there was one... More

We stayed here in March for 3 nights and it was great. The location was close to the metro/train station and ryanair bus to the airport. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room was small but had high brick ceilings which was quite nice and made the space feel bigger. Overall a good home base for our trip. Unfortunately,... More

We stayed in Andy & Lui for 3 nights. Room rate seemed to be reasonable compared to the location, termini is just 10 minutes from the hotel. Our room was very small but both room and toilet were clean. It’s a bit hard to find the hotel as there is no big sign outside with its name. The hotel is... More

When you are travelling to the wonderful city of Rome you will find that the hotel prices are hilarious. Most affordable hotels are outside the city. But when you are in Rome it is so nice to have walking distances to everything. Then Andy e Lu is the perfect place! They are just close to Stazione Termini. The place in... More

This Bed and Breakfast has many positive features. Firstly, they let me check in at twelve pm, when I first arrived in Rome, which helped a lot. Their room was quite small, but have all of the things I needed for a short stay. Air conditioning worked, was quiet, and Wifi was included. Breakfast was the standard coffee/croissant voucher at... We were looking for somewhere cheap to stay for a few nights near the sights in Rome, Andy e Lu fitted the bill. At first I was a little apprehensive about staying near Termini but it didn't feel unsafe at any point and ended up being handy in terms of getting to and from the airport by shuttle bus. The... Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
