Great location within walking distance of all the main sights of Rome. Beautiful old apartment. Modern bathroom. Quiet location. Good security There was a damp/musty smell but resolved by leaving balcony doors open. A few more cleaning products and more towels would have made life easier as we stayed 6 days. WiFi was useless despite the owner trying to fix...

Our stay here was amazing. Beautiful neighborhood and within walking distance of all the major "attractions". Safe, clean and exactly what we were hoping for! Giovanni was very helpful and provided information on local eateries and cool things to see and do in the area. We will definitely be back!

Advantages: 1.Location, location, location! You are 50 metres from the Tempio Maggiore, the Great Synagogue of Rome, in the heart of the Jewish Ghetto, steeped in history and a walk away from many of Rome's major attractions and nightlife. Rome has a very small post-Holocaust Jewish community but 2000 years of Jewish history. If Jewish (and if like most tourists...

Situated at the end of the Jewish ghetto, this apartment hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from the Vatican to the Colosseuem. The apartment is adjacent to the historical Teatro di Marcello, which is frequented by tourists during the daytime, but very quiet in the evening. We felt extra safe, since the ghetto is secured with 24-hour police presence....

Staying in Ghetto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ghetto
The mini-neigbourhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighbourhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
