The best thing was the breakfast - croissant and coffee/juice in the cafe close to the hotel. Location close to the Termini Station is also nice, especially if you arrive in the middle of the night ;) Fan included. Negative is that you have to leave a key at the reception when you're going out. Bathroom really small, needs renovation.... More

Luckily we spent just one night in this horrible hotel. We missed the flight and booked another one for next day, so I looked on Booking.com to find hotel near Roma Termini Station just for that night. When we arrived the guy at the reception was sleeping and didn't know anything about our booking. He checked the mailbox and say... More

I booked this hotel because it has a great location (near train station) and the price is great. However, the hotel is not great. It's terrible. The room is tiny, no a/c, the window opens but no airflow comes through and the beds are springy. The checkin clerk was very nice, but the night clerk was rude and unfriendly. You... More

Good location, near Termini station. Easy walk to the poi's. Hotel clean, no luxury. Fridge on the room. Checkout TERRIBLE, first few days friendly staff. Last day on checkout, rude, unfriendly, incompetent man at the reception. Only pay cash, he told us. We had a plane to catch so no time to go to the ATM. After 15 minutes of... More

Very good location for this hotel, really close to Termini. 10 minutes walk from Santa Maria Maggiore, 20 from Borgese Park. The rooms are very small, the furniture kind of obsolete. There was a contant unpleasant smell in the bathroom from the pipes. The shower was tiny. There were no glasses or fridge, but at least the place was clean.... More

I stayed at this hotel from May 1st to May 6th 2016. The Hotel has friendly friendly helpful staff. It is clean and adequate. There are no frills with this hotel. I would rate the hotel as one star although, the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean which persuades me to give two stars to this... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and chose this hotel based on its location. The room and bathroom were not very big but you cannot expect much since it is not expensive at all. We were there in January and the room was really warm and comfortable. Breakfast is offered at the cafe downstairs and includes a coffee/tea and one... More

We arrived at the hotel late after returning to Roma from Firenze on the Frecciarossa. The gentleman at the desk was very nice and kindly explained that since we hadn't paid in advance we would have to pay cash. We didn't have the $92 Euro on us and needed to visit the ATM the following moring. We got in the... More

We arrived at the hotel early in the morning due to a long flight delay and had already lost two days of travel. We were tired but decided to venture into Rome. The clerk advised us to leave our bags there and that he would have a room ready in an hour or so to put our bags in, when... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
