I have booked a room in advance for tomorrow and today in the evening they phoned me and told that my booking is canceled as they have no places. Be carefull, do not choose this one when you are in Rome!

B&B Aronica provided good service for us. We booked a private room, but they informed that they were full so the old guy Salvatore transferred us to a separate apartment nearby. We got our own room which had kitchen and plenty of space, even a nice balcony! It was a room in a larger apartement with two more rooms for...

B&B Aronica is not worthy of the name "hostel". A mixture of "refugee camp" and "shabby apartment" is the best description I can think of. When we arrived the shock was great, the room was packed (10 people for 6 beds), the bathrooms are small, the bathroom door is an accordion door without lock and a broken handle. At least...

Since our arrival we got a shock, even before the ending of our stay I was wishing to escape!. That place is dirty out and inside of the room, the furnishing is old and unkempt, the share bathroom was an unbelievable mess (e.g. the door is an old pvc folding one with holes, the toilet handle was broken, the tissue...

This is absolutely as cheap as you can expect. It was definitely worth of money, because we did not expect much. We stayed there four nights and believe me: that location gave so much value for doing things, because we walked from there everywhere. You can eat at Trastevere area where food is good. So, my short review: Cleanliness: basic....

The worst place i payed for sleeping! Actually it's the house of some old Italian guy, transformed in an "hostel". The room is a bit filthy. The bathroom is extra small, not very clean, and the floor floods every time. To get there you have to cross the small corridor, that is also the hall of entrance, the guy's office,...

I was very disappointed with the stay at B&B. The manager was rude and creepy, he would only accept cash and wouldn't make change. The sheets of the bed were soiled, the whole place reeked of his dog's urine. His little dog attacked my Mother several times. There are only 3 rooms. He doesn't provide breakfast at the B&B. The...

    Staying in Trastevere

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
