Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

We had a perfect 3-nights stay at the Suites Farnese Design. It is situated in an area close to the Vatican but still very central and we could walk to all the greatest sights in Rome. The area is calm and less touristy than other parts we visited with a lot of nice restaurants

Hi Sarah, From the airport you can take the shuttle to Roma termini (main train station), if I remember well it’s around 30 minutes (you have to pay for this unfortunately), and just outside there are taxis. By taxi, it would take about 15-20 minutes to get to the hotel. Hope this helps! Elena
