The hotel has great location, comfortable rooms. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff, specifically in the second floor is amazing, very well train and kind. The value is very good. I cannot come up with a suggestion for improvement.

We stayed in the "Luxury Suites" just around the corner from the main building, which were excellent in decoration, furnishing and cleanliness. The room was spacious, also the bathroom, there were Nespresso and Tea pot and a convenient bed. Unfortunately, there was no table or desk and no chair, just a sofa and two little coffee tables, although the room would be big enough for such accommodation (Room 310). This makes writing or computing difficult. The noisy traffic is perfect filtered out by the noise-protection windows. The bus station for many lines in just a few steps away. Breakfast was a served one and very good (extended continental). Otherwise, we can highly recommend the Stendhal Luxury Suites as a

This was our second time at Hotel Stendhal, and it continues to impress. Rooms are very spacious (we had two connecting rooms), modern and clean. Breakfast was quite hearty and varied. All of the staff are extremely helpful and quick to respond to our needs (extra towels, quick cleaning of the hotel room, printing out train tickets, etc.). And the recommendations by the concierge were great - local restaurants that he himself had dined at; a private tour guide who took care of all of our touring needs; laundry within a 3 minute walk where they actually do the laundry for you at same price as self-service. And the hotel is extremely reasonably priced. Hotel Stendhal is 5-star service at very very reasonable prices

I was staying in Rome for a few days before catching a cruise, and found the Hotel Stendhal Luxury Suites online after an exhaustive search. The hotel was located right at the Piazza Barberini... and I mean you open your windows onto the square. The location cannot be beat. Close to Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps, it is an ideal location to see Rome. I stayed in a Royal Suite which was lovely. When so many Rome hotels are smaller by American standards, I had plenty of room here.
The minibar was water and soda pop, I wouldn't expect wine. It would be nice if a bottle of wine was included.
Due to COVID, the breakfast was in the Hotel Stendhal side of the hotel (the hotel is split between the Luxury Suites just around the corner and the Hotel on Via Sistina-about 50feet or so). Upon check in, they did ask when I would like to attend breakfast to help control the flow of people. I went each day around 7:30am and had no issues getting in and being served. The breakfast is WONDERFUL. They offer a few things you can pay for a la carte, but there was no need. Scrambled eggs were included along with pastries, sandwiches with meats, coffee...it was great and I never felt rushed. It does get busier later in the morning, but if you plan ahead, you will have no problems. I would not hesitate to stay there again. The location couldn't have been better, and the hop on hop off bus stops right at the Piazza.

We booked this hotel with a Costco travel package and arrived just after midnight in November 23rd. Our driver dropped us off with our luggage outside the hotel and we proceeded to the check in desk. In spite of having a confirmation number guaranteeing our booking, we were coldly told our reservation couldn’t be found. After 16+ hours of traveling, this was disappointing news. The clerk on duty didn’t seem very sympathetic, did not offer any apology or explanation, and told us we could stay for 1 night in another room then sort out the reservation the next morning. This was annoying because it essentially meant we needed to re-pack our belongings the next day and move to a different room. We were told to “go around the corner” to find our room, as it was in the hotel annex. No explanation on how to connect to wifi and no help with the bags. The bellhop just stood there and watched us haul out our belongings. It certainly wasn’t a good first impression of the hotel.

The rest of the stay was quite good. Great breakfast and excellent service in the breakfast area. Our housekeeper (Stefania) was very sweet and did a great job taking care of us. Rooms were very clean and well-appointed. The hotel is on a busy street and the windows are not soundproof, which may give light sleepers some trouble. We found the location to be perfect and the street noise didn’t bother us. Aside from the misfire at check-in it overall a great experience.

The Stendhal Hotel consists of two partes - main with reception desk in Via Tritone 113, and additional suits just around the corner, in Via Sistina. The latter street ends at the top of the famous Spanish Steps. The hotel is almost on Piazza Barberini. We stayed in Via Sistina. The room was comfortable and well designed. The staff was very nice. What is very important nowadays, the hotel applies all the necessary security measures - there's a termoscanner temperature check at the check in, breakfasts are served by the waiters, dispensers with sanitizing liquids are everywhere. Our stay was perfect. There's absolutely nothing to complain on.

Our stay was excellent. We were welcome very politely and professionally at the reception in Via del Tritone. A very polite and sympathetic staff member helped us out with moving next corner to Via Sistina. The room was spacious and stylish, spotless clean for real. The facility is welcoming and, despite it was facing a crowded street, we honestly had no issues with noise or sleeping. The highlight was definitely Mr. Calogero at the breakfast who gave us very good mornings at the breakfast time with his politreness and sympathy. We'd certainly go back to Stendhal next time we go to Rome.

We stayed 6 days in a suite, had in-room breakfast served every day and enjoyed the several bus stops just in front of the hotel to visit Rome. We will definitely come back to this nice place. They only could have faster internet and better noice-cancelling windows. Everything else was fine!

We stayed in the Hotel Stendhal for 4 nights in April. We stayed in two adjoining suites in the annex to the hotel on Via Sistina. The location was perfect - within walking distance to most major attractions and also close to the train station. The suites were modern, very clean and comfortable. The rooms included a few complimentary soft drinks and waters in the refrigerator which was a nice touch. The breakfast in the annex was very nice and relaxing with waitress service. The waitress was very kind and would remember each morning how we liked our coffee. The hotel recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner, which was very good. I had a small issue with a driver not arriving on time and the front desk was extremely helpful with calling my travel agent to rectify the problem. I would highly recommend the Hotel Stendhal to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing stay in the center of Rome.

The hotel is very accommodating, and everyone there is really nice. I don’t doubt that they’d try to do what they can to make your son’s birthday special if you let them know in advance. As for transportation, the hotel is a short train ride to Fumicino Airport. I suggest taking a taxi on your first day just to make things a little less stressful for you. Then you can take the metro to the airport when you leave. You don’t even need to transfer. Hope this helps. Enjoy your time in Rome. The hotel is in a great location!!!
