Wow! This apartment is stunning. A cosy enclave where you live like a local. We were met at the property at Piazza dei Satiri by Charlotte, the owner. She was very friendly and welcoming showing us around the apartment. It is in a medieval building so you must climb up to the second floor by a beautiful stone spiral staircase. The apartment itself is very compact and bijou but has everything you need. Furnished to a very high standard with silk curtains, Phillip Stark chairs, hidden kitchen, mirrored doors and two beautiful bathrooms. One with an LED overhead shower, the other with small bath and overhead and handheld shower. It has two rooms but if there is only two people then the bed folds away in the spare room for an office. You have a view to the tiny piazza from the window. You have plenty of excellent places to eat and drink in this locality. Walking distance to all the sites past some ancient and historic buildings. 10 minutes to Marcellus theatre, 20 minutes to the Colosseum.
Housekeeper service every day. We had the most wonderful stay and will be back.

We've just returned from a 3 night stay, along with a couple of friends, in this amazing place. This was our first visit to Rome and we booked 2 junior suites at Casa Montani and we all loved every minute of it. The location of Casa Montani is perfectly situated being within easy walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Via Margutta. The decor is so sophisticated without being stuffy and the inclusion of breakfast being brought to your room felt very decadent. Even quirky original features like the wrought iron cage lift added to the experience. Giuseppe and Andrea couldn't have been more helpful and they offered some wonderful recommendations for places to eat nearby. We all commented on the comfort of the beds. The mattresses and the bedding are clearly the best quality and the Dyptique toiletries were a luxury addition. All in all, a perfect place which we will most definitely be booking again as a base to explore the rest of Rome. Bliss!

We have just returned from a fantastic week long break at this wonderful accommodation. We had originally booked to stay in April 2020 but the pandemic meant we were unable to travel. Casa Montani, however, honoured our booking and allowed us to move it forward two years. This commitment to good service, efficiency and their integrity in all our dealings with them, typify the Casa Montani approach. Giuseppe and Andrew were always available - either in person or through WhatsApp - and gave us good advice on places to eat, booking visits and travelling around the city as well as arranging transport to and from the airport. The location by Piazza di Popolo is great with the Flaminio metro stop and tram line 2 right outside. We were upgraded to a suite (room 23) which was ideal for a week's stay. The breakfast delivered to our room every morning was an added luxury. "Mille grazie" to Casa Montani for giving us an unforgettable break in Rome and for allowing us to realise our original plans, put on hold by Covid.

This was a repeat visit for us and just as enjoyable as prior stays. The rooms are compact but elegantly designed and comfortable. The location is wonderful - Piazza del Popolo is literally at your doorstep. Giuseppe and Andrea are gracious and accommodating. Their in-person hours are somewhat limited while Rome emerges from the pandemic, but someone was always available by text (including to help with dinner reservations and transportation) and they implemented a very convenient mobile check-in process.

We stayed with our 14 year old and loved Casa Montani. Charlotte welcomed us with so much warmth and advice, which really started our visit perfectly. She and Andreo’s recommendations were always spot on. The room was spotless and beautiful, and perfect for the three of us. The hotel is just outside the gate to the piazza Popolo, and we either walked or took a short cab ride to everything we wanted to see. Admittedly our son was getting a little tired of visiting every church we walked by but so be it. We were so lucky with the weather and now know to only come before March 1st or after September to avoid the crowds. Also, highly recommend the car service they use as not much more expensive than a cab but so much easier (and comfortable!) Thanks Charlotte for a wonderful stay!

Very pleasant stay in a good location. Great value.
Giuseppe made sure everything went smoothly. The breakfast is served in the room on a small cart, which we enjoyed.
The guesthouse is located in a big building. It’s not recognizable from the outside, but Giuseppe sent step-by-step instructions and you can unlock all doors with a mobile key.

We spent 2 nights at Casa Montani upon arriving in Rome. The staff was most accommodating in storing our extra bags during the duration of our trip and setting up a crib for our baby. The room was very charming and the location excellent to visit the best sites of Rome.

This is the third time we have visited Rome and twice before we have stayed in five star hotels close to the Spanish steps. I almost rebooked a hotel we had stayed in before but then came across Casa Montani and just loved the look of it. It was also a quarter of the cost. We were travelling as a couple, with our daughter and her cousin so had two separate rooms. Both rooms were wonderful. Not very big but tastefully decorated, they had everything we needed and most importantly for me; a very comfortable bed, excellent pillows and quality linen. All four of us slept amazingly well and I don’t normally when I stay away from home. The shower was great and the luxury toiletries were a lovely surprise. The rooms were also spotlessly clean and maintained to that standard throughout our stay.

Breakfast was fantastic. We throughly enjoyed having it wheeled into the room and eating it in bed every morning instead of having to trail down to a restaurant. This is the part I wasn’t sure about and it ended up being our favourite bit! We have just got home and I will definitely miss this in the morning! Ha ha. Coffee was fantastic and fresh, lovely seasonal fruit and flaky, buttery croissants etc.

All the staff were fantastic, helpful and professional. The building is fantastic and the location is perfect. Local transport is literally on the doorstep and you are over the road from Piazza Del Popolo and then into the rest of the attractions after a lovely walk.

I honestly can’t recommend this place enough and can’t understand why it’s only 3 stars when it is so much better than the two 5 star hotels we stayed in previously. I just wish we’d have booked early enough to try the suite. Definitely next time. Thanks for an amazing experience xx

Had high expectations after all the good news but they were met! We loved this place: every last detail thought through, charming and urbane staff, super comfy soft beds with lovely thick fluffy duvets and nice thick curtains for a good night's sleep. The kind of place where you just feel in good hands. No reception room for breakfast but they bring a lovely trolley for you to eat in bed/in your room, which works well. Was a little anxious about noise from the map location, but it is towards the back of the building and well insulated so no trouble there. And to top it all it was a decent price - unlike literally every other place we stayed in our trip which felt €100 a night over what was reasonable. So happy guests!

Location was good
No signs of where guest house was located
Walking into the building felt like you were walking into an empty 1940s hospital. Luxury rooms are located on level 2 and 3 so they have 8 rooms located in a large building
Confusing for first visit
