I read a ton of the reviews before booking, so knew what to expect in terms of the friendliness of the owner (which was true, she was a tad abrasive). I had zero issues getting into the building at any point in the night, which was a concern addressed in some reviews. The room itself was by far the nicest...

Got in a little late but no problem as we let the staff know in advance. Found it on Google Maps beforehand so had no problem finding the location. Great area, close to the train station. Supermarket right close. Nice to have a fridge in the room. Various ATMs in the area, and a good pizza shop right beside if...

Nice B&B a short walk from the Termini train station. Easy to find and with a lift to the third floor. We had a quite spacious room with a small balcony to the inner court. Had some problems with the fridge, but it was solved quickly. Clean room and bathroom, good shower. Breakfast was quite standard, but with good scrambled...

arrived 6pm at night. I made sure to call in after reading previous reviews(their reception desk is not 24hrs). When I got there, there was someone waiting for us and it did not bother us that there was no receptionist. The room was a great size and bed was comfy. Location was great! 5 min from the termini. One thing...

This boutique hotel was great, just a 5 minute walk from Rome Termini, close to a landmark church, old fashioned coffin elevator that you close the doors for manually, ample breakfast, great coffee shop around the corner, decent and cheap restaurant just down the road, clean and modern rooms, digital TV, friendly staff. All in all a very good experience....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
