Really great boutique hotel in the heart of Rome at walking distance of Barberini metro and of the highlights of Rome. Very friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are very clean, beautiful, well equipped and go with a great breakfast.

Our experience with the Basilio began even before we arrived in Rome. The hotel was very helpful in arranging a trip ahead of our arrival so we didn't have any hassle arranging it. The directions to get to the hotel were spot on. The staff, Lucca, Elisa, and Francesco (also the owner) are great and super-helpful. Located as it is...

Stayed in Basilio 55 with a friend of mine for a long break, and it was really the perfect place to stay. Easy to find, very central within walking distance to Termini and the Trevi fountain. Also very convenient for bus and metro. The staff were all very nice, it's quite a small team so it's nice that they recognise...

Myself and my family stayed in the hotel after seeing the reviews and because of its location. I must say we couldn't have done any better choice. The staff from Francesco to Elisa are amazingly friendly and very helpful. The lady serving breakfast is so sweet. They make their utmost to make you feel at home. The location is just...

Me and my friend stayed for a 4 day city break and we were pleasantly surprised at how great Basilio 55 was for such a great price. Our room was very comfortable, stylish and a perfect size for the two of us. The air con made it a bit too cold on the first night but this seemed to resolve...

This hotel is very nice. Really nice room, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfasts provided. Fresh sliced meats, cheeses and fruits. Very Italian and very good. Air conditioned and quiet. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Arrived at 8pm from the airport, and had been in contact with staff at the hotel to expect us at this time. However when we arrived the staff was surprised to see us, and said she was about to go home! Luckily for us she was still there. She gave us some recommendations on places to eat and see. We...

From questions at pre booking to ordering a taxi for our departure this hotel was fantastic. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the hotel was very clean and comfortable with a great breakfast. We were able to walk to many of Rome's main attractions from the hotel and the restaurant the hotel recommended for dinner was wonderful. For a...

I had a 6 night stay at Basilio 55 and really can't say enough about how well we were treated. To say it was some of the best customer service I have received is an understatement. Everyone one from owner, to manager to breakfast staff were extremely kind and helpful. The rooms were nicely furnished, and beds were comfortable. The...

Not one to write reviews myself but following our experience at this place I felt an obligation to share my feedback from last week. I can genuinely say that we were spoilt everyday of the week we were in Rome. Apart from the place being kept spotlessly clean on a day to day basis, it is also located just a...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
