This hotel was arranged for me by a client. After a few days at a lovely B&B in Rome prior to traveling for work to Tivoli, about all I can say about the Grand Hotel Duca d’Este is that it is NOT grand. It’s not average. It is well below average when compared to worldwide business hotels. Upon entering the...

The rooms are clean but a bit on the small size. Do remember to get an Internet pass word for each of your devices if you going to connect more than one to the Internet (they each need their own password). There is also no English TV stations available. The corridors are also exceptionally dim.

Although the staff was super friendly, and it's conveniently situated on the main road and near the train station, we definitely would not recommend this hotel, nor ever visit again. There's a funny smell to the entire place, and though the photos looked nice online, it seemed it was straight from an 80's cruise ship in person. The room was...

I usually don't give bad review, but avoid this place at all cost. Unfortunately we came in with a Chinese tour group and we were charged for our WiFi services. But it says in the room compendium that to ask reception for WiFi service and we saw people got it for free. Im writing this review in their lobby as...

It was a nice "welcome to Europe" Hotel. After a journey from India which took nearly 12 hours took a late dinner and went for sleep . Sound level was not that ideal , but still got a nice sleep for 7 hours as the heaters were doing a fine job. After a decent break fast at the Hotel we...

this hotel is close of where i have to work. the decoration is very old fashioned and the room is really dark and dated. You have the impression to come back in the 1700's. the place is neat but you don't want to stay for long here especially when the air conditionning is not working....

Travelled on Business to Rome and seeing the hotel on the net I decided to book it. The room rate seemed very economical for how the hotel was presented on the net. It's impressive when you arrive with ample parking and lavish entrance with reception area. The check-in was friendly and really efficient. Everything was explained clearly and all was...

We spent there 2 nights, arriving from southern Italy heading towards Rome and back home. Our room was just fine, quite spacious and clean with all the usual 4 stars hotel's amenities. The hotel's location is in a noisy outskirt, not in a too good residential area and quite far from Tivoli's center and Villa D'este. Breakfast was just satisfactory,...

Like a previous reviewer our GPS took us on a wild goose chase through Tivoli - whereas the hotel is 20 minutes away below Tivoli in what can be best described as 'less than salubrious" surrounds. The hotel is comfortable and the staff helpful, but it's decor is dark and dated. Whilst we were not travelling with children, others will...

I'm giving this hotel 2 stars because it is certainly not a 4 star. If it was honest and said it was 3 stars I would have agreed with this rating. Firstly, we arrived very late (after 11pm) and there was no room service or even a vending machine available for even a drink! AND be warned the address listed...
