The only positive thing I can say about the hotel is the location in the centre of Bologna. We stayed at a noisy room - a huge ventilation plant outside the window kept us awake all night. When we told about the problem at the reception we got no responce at all. Another reason for a bad night's sleep was...

Located in the heart of town, near great shopping! Uniquely decorated room - honoring US President John F. Kennedy. Fabulous staff - spoke very good English- as our Italian was a bit rusty. They advised on some good restaurants and made last minute reservations for us.

We found this Hotel through BA web site. What a great find. Only a 20 minute taxi ride from the Airport, and slap bang in the centre of Bologna, in a quiet back street about a minutes walk from Piazza Maggiore. Each room is individually decorated, I was in the Olivetti Room, extremely comfortable, and well equipped with tea, coffee...

We stayed for just one night in between stays in Florence and Venice. It was the perfect place to be. Small boutique hotel, quiet road, right off the main square. Walkable to everything. Extremely clean, and friendly. Our room was top floor with a mini balcony and view over a little courtyard and the room was huge. Bologna is a...

We stayed in room 304 which was decorated in 2010 as part of the comedy festival. The hotel has lots of charm & quirky decor. The staff are wonderful & cannot do enough for you. I loved the mat in the lift being changed daily so there was not chance that you forgot what day it was. Breakfast was plentiful...

Just returned from 4 night break at this pleasant hotel. Room was nice and kept beautifully clean with fresh linen each day. Breakfast was fine. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Hotel in ideal location for exploring. Loads of shampoo, etc, which is handy when you are limited with fluids in hand luggage. Our room was above the front door...

Booked in for three nights which i needed to cancel due to recent earthquakes in Italy - several other hotels (and airlines) were extremely understanding and flexible - sadly not Al Cappello Rosso. When I wrote to them to explain how my trip had been changed due to the earthquake, they were completely unsympathetic and stated that I have a...

Capello Rosso is sited in a narrow alley that borders the non-motorized vehicle zone of old Bologna. Near two wonderful restaurants, the cathedral and it's square, and a grocery store makes it a great place to stay if you arrive by taxi. I would not recommend that you try to personally drive there, the traffic pattern is beyond my comprehension....

A perfect hotel in a perfect location. Literally a minute from the square. We were located on floor 3 and found it to be so quiet. Twin beds, TV, unique decor, lovely bath and shower. Towels and bedding changed daily which actually is more than we would ask for: over four days, we would have been happy for the same...
