We chose the place after having read about Charlotte in some articles in the Danish press. We liked the combination of good Italian food, sun, beautiful landscapes and an innovative Danish host with a good sense of how to live a good and ecological life. With a mix of Bali & Italy. And we were not disappointed. We made the...

I'm just returned from a fantastic week bye Charlotte in Bernadello where one week is How the Italien food is made. We was out on Seeing hove the one and only Parmesan, and Balsamic, and on wine yard Corte d'Aibo where we tasted ecology Wein. And when you are in the region. Please pay Maranello " Ferrari town" a visit....

Our group of 3 couples wanted to kick off our 40th birthdays celebration with a bang, and boy did Due Papaveri help us do that! It was a complete submersion in relaxation and culinary delights in the Italian countryside. Charlotte and Lucca were such gracious hosts. The Parmesano Reggiano, Prosciutto, and Aceto Balsamico Tradicionale di Modena tours were wonderful insights...

You must come here to enjoy the view during the daylight. Come back for dinner, you will love the fireflies. The place is nice for a romantic dinner or a family lunch, for example. Or, spend a week here on holiday to appreciate the swimming pool and visit the closest towns. Food, wine, service, prices are all fine. A great...

We stayed here sadly only 2 nights, I loved it. Charlotte's cooking is inspired and so delicious. After being on a cruise for the previous 11 days, the peace, tranquillity and authentic care and passion here was wonderful. I wish I could have had longer and had a chance to do more of the food tours and the cooking school....

Charlotte and Lucca are the most gracious hosts that my wife and I have experienced on all of our travels around Europe. Charlotte was very helpful prior to our visit with setting up day trip accommodations including a Lambruso tasting and Balsamic vinegar tour. The dinners were served in a quaint and cozy location within their facility and of course...

We spent the most relaxing 4 days at Due Papaveri. Charlotte and Lucca are the perfect hosts and the meals are amazing - each dish better than the last - using local ingredients. Their farm is really interesting and they are happy to share their knowledge of the local area including a visit to the Parmigiano Reggiano producer. We had...

Undoubtably a very special place. Due Papaveri is really lovely because it combines the talents of Charlotte who is a very talented chef and Lucca who couldnt be more charming and hospitable. The gorgeous setting of the Agriturismo, which is peaceful and quiet and the beautifully designed rooms make the experience very pleasurable. Having a masseuse on site was heaven....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Due Papaveri is a beautiful agriturismo in the Modenese hillside. We have four unique suites with roof to floor windows all with a stunning views of the countryside. All rooms have an en suite bathroom, fireplace, independent entrance and all with natural furniture and unique design. We are an Eco resort with 70 % of all energy produced by our sun-panels. Food is very important to us, most vegetables we use in the kitchen are from our biological garden, we have a cosy gourmet restaurant open for outdoor guests as well, and a outdoor terrace with a stunning view, we serve modern Italian food and local wines. Our relaxing garden area has a 20 meter outdoor pool with views over the hills. There is a pagoda to relax in or make yoga in the morning. Vacationing with us is ideal for people who enjoy beautiful nature and surroundings, relaxation, good food, wine and peace. We organize cooking classes and gourmet safaris with visits to local wineries for wine tastings and parmesan and aceto balsamico producers to learn about the unique products that are produced in this area. Bologna and Modena are near for cultural experiences and shopping. The Ferrari and Lamborgini museums are 30-40 minutes drive from us. ... more   less
