I hesitate to give 4 stars but overall this stay was a good experience. It’s located outside the city of Parma near the airport (very quiet though). Some might have a difficult time finding but trust your GPS. We stayed here this time because of a previous difficult experience staying in town. It’s very modern, and the lounge is located in the center of the hotel where you have to be quiet or disturb other guests. You have to order your alcohol from the front desk. Just weird. Strange multicolored soccer balls in front with numerous rabbits all over the place (Outside). The food in the restaurant for dinner was excellent (be sure to reserve a table, as seating is limited if a bus has brought a tour group in) and the breakfast was fine. My rating would have been higher if the staff was more welcoming and friendly. Sorry. Not all, but several could improve their interpersonal skills. Still overall a good experience and I will give them a second chance in the future.

The name belies the location of this superb small hotel converted with style from former farm granary stores.

The hotel has been converted with great design flair and an architect's understanding of what hotel guests really need rather than just an excuse for every modern, mysterious plumbing fitting of which the world can conceive.

It is located some 3 miles east of Parma on a winding country lane not far from the small airport and the veterinary university. City hotel it is not!

The fully glazed exterior overlooks well-tended gardens in which pet rabbits and hens freely roam. There are footballs for the energetic to kick around as well cycles to ride and a fitness centre at first-floor level. Sleep quality assured as the hotel is peacefully situated.

Everything reeks of contemporary quality.

The welcome is very good - as is the food in the popular, minimalist restaurant.
Best of all, the hotel offers free parking as well as very good value. Must stay again, soon!

You need satnav to find this hotel but, once you have found it just outside Parma, it is well worth the stay.
It is a refurbished long barn done very tastefully set within its own garden. It is extremely tranquil and you can go for a walk along the road to it with some degree of safety which is unusual in Italy!.
The room was very comfortable with plenty of space, and it was very clean.
The reception staff were efficient and helpful.
There was plenty of car parking space which was free.
If you wish to explore Parma, you would not necessarily stay here as it is a bit far out, but as a stop off point, and if you have satnav, I would definitely stay here again.
The breakfast was quite good.
The price for the room was extremely cheap.

It looks good on pictures and has nice exterior design. But, it has lousy 'finish touch': especially in bathroom. Has only ground floor and first floor. The worst breakfast ever: 1 choice of cheese and salami, have to pay for eggs and bacon! Staff is OK: they changed our room from ground to first floor but did not offer map and no question about our stay during check-out. 'Fitness' has 3 things. LOL

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on a recent visit to Parma. Here are the three reasons you should not stay here. First, the name of the hotel implies it's "in the city." But that not true, the hotel is remote, near the airport and requires either driving or taking a taxi to visit the city itself. Second, while the outside of the hotel and the common areas are quite nice, unique and modern the rooms themselves are very basic and rather small. Third and most important the shower itself is dangerous and unsafe and I do not believe would meet US safety standards. You see the shower has a tile half step up area and then the shower area itself which you end up stepping slightly down into to take your shower. The shower pan itself is quite slippery and when entering the shower I slipped and fell backward hitting my head and and cutting my elbow. As the day day went on my elbow became swollen to about the size of a golf ball so I ended up icing it for much of that afternoon and evening. It's a few days later and my elbow is still significantly swollen.

Actually this is not so big hotel, but design and atmosphere is very nice!
Location is isolated in the farmland, and the landscape from 2nd floor is so beautiful.
The room is basically white, and good space for relaxing.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days trip. It was recommended by trip advisor discussion forms. Not bad at all, if you are looking for simple Hotel not fancy this is your place. The resturant downstairs at the first floor is ok nothing special. The rooms are kind small typical European hotels. Recommend room facing the back : great look at the park.

The hotel is located in the outskirts of the city near the airport. Most probably locals find it easily however for foreigners it is difficult both with GPS or by following the signs to the hotel. We were with 5 cars and made three attempts to find it.
The rooms are good, beds are fine. The restaurant of the hotel has good food. The outdoor facilities are questionable in quality (especially the toys for the kids) and the mosquitos make it even more difficult.

Hotel was easy to find even, used the location on booking.com and found our way easy with just a map as we came by car.
Parking area was big and free, something u come to appreciate while in Parma. Staff was friendly at the reception, even told us a bit about the hotel's history. The rooms aren't very big and this might come as an inconvenience to others. The bathrooms are very nice, lots of space in them and in the shower cabins.
The restaurant is small and comfy and the waiting staff was very friendly with tips about what to try from the carte and what proseco to have. One of them even offered advice on what to visit, where to leave the car, how to get about in the city etc.
All in all it was a hotel I for one would love to return to if the opportunity arrises.
