Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Roberto and Francesca are wonderful hosts. They are extremely kind and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Opera 11 R&B is well located in the centre of Parma and was perfect for us, for our stay in Parma.

But someone pulled a fast one on me... Roberto... I did not notice on my email confirmation that he had switched addresses on me. As I am writing this... I am still in the "B&B"... I don't want to give everything away but location, location, location.... They have 2 locations. Crap... I said too much! I really don't know where to start except that they really care! this is exactly what I wanted to show my group about Italy! They are the best hosts! So thoughtful, genuine and gracious!
We were supposed to be there at 5,6 maybe 7 at night... well we were having too much fun with friends and some family in Milano that we did not get to the parking garage till midnight. All he said was "ok" not could you please hurry I have to work in the morning...! Then he realized that we parked at the wrong place and came an picked us up... REALLY! Who does that!!!!??? Roberto does... Brought us to the B&B and I thought it would be "thank you... I am sorry it's late and I have to go to bed..."
No... He stayed here for another 30 minutes more concerned about us then himself! (swear words inserted here) NO ONE does that! "Ok you need to see this and this is a great restaurant... and so on..."
Well we are on our third and final night... Parma is incredible! I don't know if I will post anything else about Parma... because I have extremely high standards for what I will post. It has to be over the top! This definitely has been!
Sorry... breakfast was good... super fresh warm out of the oven (bakery really!) croissants and danish's... all sorts of stuff in the fridge. Great coffee and a great environment to wake up to every morning.
I have to go meet friends for another "epic" meal... that I really should not be doing but I am on "vacation"

Ciao Bella!

Right from the start, with my initial booking enquiry about Opera 11 R&B, Roberto could not have been any more helpful and welcoming. He was there to greet us on our arrival. We were in the room on the second floor (there is one room per floor) and it was comfortable, charming and clean. The kitchen and breakfast room is on the ground floor as you enter and you are made to feel welcome to help yourself to all the facilities and drinks. In the mornings Francesca has all the breakfast ready for you to help yourself, and again, is super friendly and welcoming. Opera 11 is perfectly placed for anything that you wish to see in Parma and in the heart of fantastic bars, restaurants and galleries, etc and is easy walking distance from the station. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying at Opera 11 R&B to anyone, and very much hope that we will stay there on our next visit to Parma

This bed & breakfast is pretty And clean. Decorated beautifully. Off of a slightly busy street but when you turn off , it is extremely quiet and dark where the front door is . That might be ok for some but I like more of the hotel type with receptionist. I felt nervous at night, when we went back for the night, but that could be just me . The location was in the center of everything. We even walked to the stazione and back. Basic breakfast in the morning, fresh fruit, croissants, cafe , juice, jams. Nice size bed , 3 drawers and small attached closet. One rack for your luggage. Air, tv , no English speaking channels at all. 1 pillow each, 1 blanket. The bathroom is very modern and private. Nice big shower and hair blower . A little disappointed there was no iron. I Love how they decorated it . Roberto , the owner and his wife are really nice. They came in the morning to check on us for a few minutes. Please be aware that you cannot park in the city center. There are cameras and you will get a fine , I hear you will receive the fine months later. I missed that in the TA posts and I did not see anything about that from the owner. Being unaware we passed the camera before we met Roberto . We followed Roberto in our car to the b&b , dropped off our luggage. 1st floor is around 12 steps, 2nd floor , more steps. I'm sure it was more steps to the 3rd room but I didn't go up that high. Roberto did help us up with luggagePlease note, there is no lift. Then we followed Roberto to an underground parking garage where we parked our car for our two days . We were unaware that we were to pay for parking. 12 euro per day. We were also responsible for walking with 2 large pieces of luggage and a medium size carry on to pick up our car when we are going to leave. I personally could not do that . It would be very hard for my husband as well to walk the 6 blocks in the heat and the cobblestone walkways. We chose to hire a taxi to help us with this. Even if we picked our car up and drove it to the b&b , there are so many pedestrian areas and one way streets , probably would take an hour even with gps. Walking looks the easiest and if you are in shape and young and backpacking you could do it. Those days are done for us.

I would recommend this to young people or weekenders who have small luggage . Too stressful for us between parking and driving here and waking up so early just to make sure we get our car early enough to get to our tour. We have heavy luggage , we are traveling for two weeks.

All in all if you don't mind parking in a garage six blocks away, steps up to your room with luggage up and down. No lift , no English tv , it's a nice place to stay.

Just too much to think about for me.

But regardless of the Hotel the town had some beautiful sights to see . I will have to say I love Parma.

This lovely B and B is on a drab almost alley like street. But inside it is fabulous. Very clean modern and sleek. Hostess Francesca was terrific: greeted us with a map, talked to us about places to see, visit and eat. Made reservations for us and secured a cab for my 6:20 a.m. departure. Wonderful.

We stayed here recently with our two children and it was perfect....owners so friendly and really happy to welcome you and help you find places to eat and visit. The rooms were very clean and just what we needed for a couple of nights - good showers and lovely linen...breakfast too was incluced as was a coffee machine and fresh fruit - just book it!

A cosy B&B in a quiet corner of the heart of Parma. Recently renovated, well decorated, furnished and equipped. Remarkable clean. Everything looked so fresh and new but what really makes the difference and will make you come back to Opera 11 B&B is Roberto & Francesca, the owners. They’re extremely helpful and friendly; recommended us excellent restaurants and places to go. They have taken into consideration that we have a baby, and recommended things according to that. A personalized and sincere treatment.

Wi-fi access free of charge. The equipement for breakfast is modern and brand new. (Nespresso machine, kettle, juices, yogurth, biscutis , milk, tea.. available the whole day) . Excellent location near restaurants, bars, shops.

A must stay and we will go back for our next stay in Parma. I definitely recommend this excellent B&B

We spent two nights at this well-situated, immaculately clean and pleasant B & B. Can't recommend Roberto and Francesca highly enough - both were helpful and more like friends than official hosts. We would love to go back and would recommend them to anyone. We stayed in their second place, the one in the centre. They also have one opposite the opera house, Teatro Reggio. And Parma is a really lovely and interesting place too.

We were there in September 2013. The building across the narrow street is old and the immediate area is a bit ugly. Opera 11 is in a remodeled building and is nice although a bit spartan and cold. We met the couple who own it once but never saw the wife again even though her husband told us Opera 11 was her B&B. So, our main dislike was the fact that we were alone with no way to call out if we needed to do so. Our phones were not working in Italy and there was no phone for use in Opera 11. We were comfortable there otherwise and it is a short walk to get to the main part of Parma, where the nightlife is.

The pictures of this lovely place do not do it justice! Each floor is a room. Very spacious for European standards. Extermely clean. Breakfast was pleantiful. Coffee, juice, water, and yogurt available all day. Francesca and Roberto were delightful hosts. Very central location yet tucked away on a quite street.
