Julia is a wonderful hostess: kind, considerate, generous- and very knowledgeable. Her house, conveniently situated beside, indeed amongst the ruins, is perfect. Rooms are airy, spacious and pleasantly furnished. Very nice bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can't thank Julia enough for her kindness.

We had a great time with Giulia. She really made us feel at home and was extremely helpful when we had questions regarding dining out and places to visit. The grounds were really impressive with ancient Roman ruins literally right in front of the door step. An extremely pleasant discovery and stay with Giulia, we hope to come back soon!

Staying at the exquisite Casa di Giulia was a definite highlight on our recent trip to Northern Italy. Our welcoming host Giulia went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and she even picked us up and returned us to the Cervignano train station. We spent 2 nights in the lovely Atria Galla room which faces the street but has double paned windows to shut out the minimal traffic noise. It was a privilege to stay in such a fine home. Take advantage of the available bicycles as they are a perfect way to explore magical Aquileia.

Firstly, Giulia was extremely helpful and did more than we would have expected including picking us up from Cervignano station when we arrived and taking us to the bus stop when we left for Udine. As there were 3 of us we stayed in the suite which suited us very well. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the 'feel' of the house suits an old farmhouse. Although our rooms looked out onto the main road through Aquileia, the double glazing made the room very quiet - there's not much traffic at night anyway. Breakfast was plentiful and Giulia was happy to get us what we wanted. Overall, an excellent place to stay.

I and my two friends jointly and severally stayed at Casa di Giulia during July 2016 and we were all gratified to have found such a wonderful hostess and such a beautifully appointed house! Giulia has had the house in her family since 1836, but do not let the rustic exterior fool you! The inside is extensively renovated with top-notch furnishings, cool air-conditioned rooms with thermostat controls (important in the Veneto in summer), comfortable beds (important year-round), lovely bathrooms, a great and bountiful breakfast, and a charming hostess who goes out of her way to make your stay everything you want it to be. There is even a modern, stylish elevator. Do NOT let the lack of Wi-Fi put you off -- it is available just down the street at Cafe Mosaico as you eat a dolce, torta or gelato. You can sit in the lovely garden and pick fresh figs, cherries, and plums, and the Via Romana (Roman road) passes right next to Giulia's garden! Giulia also graciously allowed me and my friends to borrow her two bicycles to tour around the town (and go to the beach at Grado) at our leisure. Giulia, I miss you already! But rest assured that if I come to Aquileia again, I cannot conceive of staying anywhere else! Un bacio da un amico, Gio.

We have now stayed at Giulia's B&B on three successive trips to Italy and have enjoyed each visit. Aquileia itself is a worthwhile destination for anyone interested in Roman or Christian history or looking for a beautiful base for day trips to Grado, Udine, Gorizia, and other places in northeasten Italy and Slovenia. Giulia's home is attractive and comfortable and she makes sure her guests are well taken care of. She serves a tasty, filling breakfast and provides a warm welcome and knowledgeable assistance, with excellent English. We look forward to our next opportunity to stay at this B&B.

We arrived here after many hours of travel. Giulia took great care of us during our stay in Aquileia. The rooms are beautiful, the bath luxurious, the breakfasts bountiful. Giulia works very hard to satisfy every need. It was such a relaxing way to begin our trip. I cannot overstate what a wonderful place to stay this is. We left as friends and hope to return some day. Grazie, Giulia!

Guilia’s father gave her part of the old family house to turn into a B&B. She has done a great job. The lovely big spacious well decorated rooms with enormous bathrooms make a very comfortable base to explore Aquileia and its surroundings. There is a pretty garden in which you can sit and have a bottle of wine if you like. Guilia herself is a delightful hostess and speaks both German and English. Breakfast is continental with the usual juices, cheeses, fruits, cereals and pastries. When we left Guilia gave us a couple of bottles of the local wine which she knew we were interested in sampling. A very kind gesture and which we thoroughly enjoyed when we got home.

Came from Venice , for three days , to see Aquileia's famous mosaics from Roman times. Wonderful, wonderful renovated house, beautiful room, comfortable bed, bathroom to die for , location and hospitality of Giulia. Spotless and in very good taste. The owner, Giulia very polite and helpful, nothing is too much for her. All her recommendations were spot on. A dish of the freshest strawberries from the market appeared on the table for us to eat. To top it all Roman road at the end of the garden. Would definitely go back tomorrow and have no hesitation in recommending it.
