Really enjoyed our stay at Residence Liberty. It was about a 15-minute walk from the train station to the hotel. When we first arrived at the hotel I was a little concerned about our choice as the entryway and lobby were very dark. However, we did not need to be alarmed as the rest of the building and our room were clean and bright. The hotel should invest in better and more inviting lighting for the entryway area.

The hotel is well situated being a block from the main pedestrian shopping streets, a block from the harbor, and close to many grocery stores. Our room was very spacious with a separate kitchen and large bathroom. Although the pictures make the rooms look outdated they are actually really comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and there was a small table for dining. We were on the top floor at the back of the building so had a nice view of the hills and rooftops. Hot water was consistent and water pressure was good.

This hotel is not a good choice for persons with mobility issues. You must climb several steps to reach the lobby area. Also, the elevator is small so large luggage may require a few trips up to your room.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would stay again.

I highly recommend this accommodation in Trieste. So central you can walk everywhere. Historic building with a great entrance. The reception is super efficient. The flat was big and clean with a picturesque view on the city roofs.
Safe parking nearby, 5 min walk.
Trieste is a romantic, incredibly beautiful city. Do not miss it!

My husband and I stayed here back in 2006 and loved the location. Very central to everything. The room was terrific and the staff very friendly. Would stay here again. It is also very reasonably priced.

Well its not a hotel, but rather an apartment building. It is really close to the main square, and everything is in the walking distance. Rooms are spacious, old but clean. You also have a kitchen with all the necessary equipment.
There is also a private garage for 20 euros per day, but you can find free parking in the city. I stayed with my parents and my sister there fro two nights and It was a good experience. Maybe a little to much expencive, but worth it.

Well located with good size rooms. Cleaning is every second day - at least when we were there. There is a laundry but it is not entirely clear how to access. A great little coffee pot is provided in the kitchenette with coffee. Hair dryer was very dodgy. Staff were friendly enough, but better to message if your language skills are lacking. Very responsive.

We loved this place. It was wonderfully located, we had access to everything that we needed, it was clean and very attractive, management was good and on the ball and the prices best we'd seen anywhere in Europe. Fully self contained we saved a bundle on food, and had great views. Internet, laundromat inside building, close to good shopping and so on.

Fantastic location, clean rooms, spacious including a kitchenette. Internet access for negligible cost.
Only down side was difficulty getting bags to the elevator -may not be appropriate for older people, although the staff there were friendly and may help.
I would stay there again.

This place was a great place to stay at. Great location, very good price (triple room was 90 euros) and it had a kitchenette. The room suited us as we travelled with a 7yo and nearly 3yo. The kitchen came handy and it has everyting you need. All the restaurants close between 2.30pm and 7.oopm and we were starving, so I was able to prepare packet soup and some other stuff. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean. Parking is 20euros. You give them the keys and they park your car for you and then return your car at the front when you're ready to leave. Wouldn't hesistate to stay here again.

The is a gem of a place with its varied history reflected in its architecture, esp. Grande Piazza UNITA. Our apartment in Residence Liberty in Via Armando Diaz was comfortable but sparsely equipped and no kettle! Reception always staffed and very friendly, English spoken.most sights are reached by walking but very good buses at €4.5 for a day ticket. Go to the Castle di Miramare, No. 6 bus from the station, very interesting with extensive gardens. See the Roman theatre and various museums which help to explain the remarkable history here. Don’t miss the Theatre Museum by the Grand Canal with its amazing collection of musical instruments, puppets and theatrical memorabilia, all for just €4.a very welcoming city with very helpful Tourist Information Office. Walking tour was good, too.

Very centrally located at 2 blocks from the central square this hotel is simple but clean. We only stayed one night. The room had a kitchenette which would have been nice for a longer stay. Staff was not very helpful with directions.
