First i booked that hotel very quickly, on the way to hotel late evening. After booking and payng i saw very bad reviews and felt a little confused but i took a risk. Room was clean, no ants and bugs.Bed was very very comfortable and i like 2 pillows in bed. We had window in the room but ofcourse no normal view, because there are very narrow streets. Location was in old town, there are very narrow streets and probably many people feel scared. Anyway, i saw some people who wanted sell us some drugs, no violence. i dont recommend this place to families.

Excellent value for your euros or dollars or whatever your currency may be. Friendly staff, homey atmosphere and excellent advice about places to see in Genoa and thereabouts. Nowhere else in Genoa can you get a better place. Highly recommended.

We booked 3 nights at this hotel but had to cancel due to a positive COVID test for our child, in the departure day, as we could no longer enter Italy under these circumstances. No refund was made, although the hotel promised that they would give us back the money provided they would sell the room for the respective 3 nights (they even requested bank details for the refund!!!). The room was back on sale on booking.com the same day and was double sold to other guests for SAME 3 nights, but the hotel promise was not kept: we did not receive any of the money back. Such a shame!

Dot not! Do not! Stay at this hotel, I think it is used a local brothel. Drunks and ladies all Roy d the street on approach to this hotel. Tried to cancel my booking with booking.com and they still took payment regardless saying it just is what it is we are in a city. We stayed at the BB Hotel near the train station. Very nice.

If you like prostitutes and drugs, this is the place for you! There is a plethora for your amusement and when you're completely drugged out, you won't mind the filthiest room ever with piss stained walls and a lovely view of dead pigeons and even more prostitutes from your barred, jail cell like window! A hotel nearly impossible to find, with nearest parking at least 600 - 1000 meters away, the only way to find the place is to ask for directions, or get lost and lucky. The hotel lobby is the cleanest, most presentable part of the hotel. The minute you take the steps up to your room - NO elevator/lift - you start to get a feeling for the horror within. The pictures on this site have been clearly doctored up and photoshopped. Impossible to miss the yellow, piss stained walls and crud. Bars on all windows, our hotel room view was that of a narrow alley with 3-4 "working girls" and a dead pigeon hanging centimeters away from the window - air freshner perhaps? It was impossible to stay in the room and I laughed at the situation as I had booked the room for its inexpensive price and photos which showed something "decent" for a night's stay while I awaited my morning cruise. I was honestly afraid to touch the bed given the state of the room. I seriously contemplated for a moment, but then refused to spend a night is such a nightmarish atmosphere and ruin the start of my vacation. I checked out and paid for the night in full, and found more acceptable last minute arrangements.

BED BUGS (in photo)!!! At first, our room couldnt be opened with the key Because the lock was broken, so we got another room. Bathroom was dirty, it was even green somewhere. Hotel is also situtated in terrible area, we couldnt sleep Because of the noise from the street, there were also prostitutes and dangerously looking guys, I wouldnt like to be here alone even for a second. I really strongly dont recommend this “hotel”. The only positive thing was Genovas Aquarium nearby. But you could sleep in front of it on the ground for free and would be much more satisfied...

Perfect localization and cheap. That’s enough to call it good choice for sleeping. A bit creepy neighborhood but unless you are not alone in the middle of a night it should be fine. We were surprised by breakfast: croissant, Genova pie, juice, yoghurt and coffee for 2,50€

My boyfriend and I stayed at hotel genziana for Easter weekend. We arrived around 5pm, having called the hotel before for advice on where to park! My boyfriend had been to Genova years previous but this was my first time. The car Park was located at the port and was really quick to get to the hotel. I hadn’t really thought about what it would be like but it’s good to know beforehand so you have an expectation. There are a lot of little streets that can be quite daunting once it gets dark. This being said, these are everywhere around the city not just where this hotel is. I would highly recommend this hotel if you need a good location and a clean room to sleep! Make sure you request a room with a bathroom which I did not and had to share but we never came across anyone else and it was super clean! The staff were incredible, left us Easter eggs, gave us recommendations, helped my boyfriend when he locked our keys in the car! Prepare yourself for some noise but I think this would be around the whole of Genova city centre with a location like this! I wouldn’t really recommend if you have children not for the hotel but for the street you need to go down to get to it! Again this being said they are all over the city so it doesn’t make a huge difference! The location is so handy we constantly came back and forth from sight seeing to go to the toilet and or change! Highly recommend if you need somewhere easy, good value and friendly to go to!

You get what you pay for is exactly right about this hotel. But I will say this the staff were absolutely great, the room was just a room, clean no frills, the location was accessible by foot only but it was to be expected in this old part of town. Music from a wedding a few doors down and some jungle drums resinated around this hotel until about midnight.
