Detailed Reviews
I stayed in a dorm room with a big window. Bed was comfortable but not private which was still ok. No AC and walk up a couple levels but the place was so welcoming. The staff were amazing and interacted with everyone and the kitchen had everything you needed to cook with. Waking up 9 or 10 am I smelled Tomato sauce or Pizza cooking from the dorm window. The hostel is in a Great location for the Historic area. There is a Really good Pizza place across the street and Marias Restaurant a couple alleys over. Laundry was 5Euro but the dryer didnt work. We hung our clothes outside but there were clothing racks to dry on as well. I would definitely recommend. Wish I was back there.

We arrived at OStellin genoa late, however were welcomed with open arms. We were given a tour upon arrival which I think is a really really nice touch. So personal. The buildIng confused me at first. It is very old and it does look abandoned until the second floor (hostel entrance).I think this added to the mystique. I felt as though I was living in the servants quarters of a wealthy palace. In a Good way! Bedroom was fine, I would have preferred curtains. There was a bit of noise regarding construction being done outside. I did not love this, however it is not the hostels fault. The kitchen was amazing. Free juice! I loved that! Also free milk and cereal etc. People were very nice and social. Would suit a solo traveller or a group! The sink and toilets were not in the room. Two toilets are also showers so I had to wait ten minutes to pee at one point! Staff were so friendly and helpful. They provide locks if you need one. Would recommend. A very vibrant place with vibrant people.

Spyro’s walking tour was amazing! Went into it reluctantly seeing it was around 4 hours, but this was no issue as Spyro is so lovely and passionate about Genova it made the time fly by. He showed us some local food, history and the spots that you usually wouldn’t venture on your own looking around. Which helped change your perspective about the city. Couldn’t recommend this anymore and I say it is a great thing to do on your trip. Thank you Spyro

Hostel 300 meters from Piazza de Ferrari. Exclave with 4 rooms in an adjacent building. Shared bathroom, kitchen equipped for breakfast. Very clean. Really friendly and helpful staff
45 euros per person with breakfast. Post half marathon, we took showers with them and stored our luggage without problems. Top.

It was simply amazing! Perfect location to discover Genova. The place was clean, quiet and the staff very kind: I really appreciated their attitude in particular of Francesco, the owner. It was a pleasure to meet them and I hope to come again soon…

I have stayed in a great many hostels across Italy and this surely counts as one the best, in one of the country's most fascinating cities. Firstly, it is extremely well situated in Genoa, very close to the famous Palazzi dei Rolli on the Via Garibaldi. Secondly, the interior is actually an old palazzo itself, with very fine high ceilings and decoration while having clean beds, and a great communal kitchen, complete with Italian moka coffee pots. Thirdly, and most importantly, Ostellin Genova is extremely friendly and I wish I had the time t stay there longer. They do daily walking tours, evening meals and constantly offer recommendations of what to do while in Liguria. It felt fresh and like being in a home, rather than some rubbish hostel. I met so many fantastic travellers during my stay there and I know that next time I am Genoa, I will stay here - they deserve all the praise they get.

The hostel is in a very beautiful and old building in the middle of the town. The fitting is nice and the receptionists are the most kind people I've ever met in a hostel, they showed us the most beautiful places to be and to eat in Genova and they gave us advice for our further trip to liguria and toscana. Very likeable place to stay for a few nights.

We've met Mateo on a camping south of Geneva. He convinced us to spend some days in the city. We have had a great time thanks to his kind support and directions to the nicest places.
Ostellin is a lovely place to stay. We hope to be back some day.

Came in on Ouibus and walked from Príncipe station but it is much shorter to take the train to De Ferrari station and walk a block to the hostel. The hostel was very centrally located to the port, the old city, shopping, restaurants and the tourist office with palazzi/museums on Grimaldi. Genova is a beautiful, safe and quiet city. I stayed in the 8 person room and there was lots of space. Big cool custom-made wood locker like a closet by the bed with shelf space for small things to keep at hand that was super cute. There's an en-suite and extra communal bathrooms/showers. Free breakfast to start your day and a well stocked kitchen to cook in. It's my favorite hostel so far because all the staff is extremely warm, hospitable, friendly and happy. They gave great walking tips, inexpensive yet incredible eating options, and day trip options. I went to the tourist office and their advice was rather flat compared to what I learned from Elisabetta, Frederico and Davide. Lastly, because this always helps me decide if I want to stay somewhere- the hostel was very, very clean and also, as a solo traveler, the hostel was just the right size for making friends to go to dinner with or hang out in the evenings.

Super nice stuff, nicely self build wood details. Interesting very high old rooms with frescos. Super clean bathrooms. And the general feeling there was like in a flatshare. Enjoyed to stay there before Christmas :)

Hey why don't you book our quadruple room instead of a dorm? It should be the perfect option for travelling families. Private rooms are located next to the hostel, but not inside.
Ciao, le camerate sono miste, ma in alternativa potete prenotare una camera doppia solo per voi! ;)
