The hostess, Sylvie, made this place special. She was very friendly and really made us feel at home. This was our first experience in French-speaking Quebec and were amused by Sylvie’s animated English. We noted that Sylvie also speaks Spanish. We entered on the ground floor which housed the kitchen, dining room and comfortable reading room. I’m reluctant to use...

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Sylvie, shown our comfortable accommodations, and given a sangria to relax after a day's drive. After getting settled, she recommended a close-by inn for dinner within easy walking distance. She took us halfway there to make sure we could find it. Very gracious lady. Ives made us breakfast in the morning which was...

Superb little B&B 5 minutes from Riviere de Loup, overlooking the St Lawrence. Well appointed rooms. Quiet neighbourhood and a gourmet breakfast. Major emphasis on local arts and products. Definitely a place to relax and enjoy life.

La Halte Du Verger is a Bed and Breakfast, or Gite on the old highway that runs along the side of the hill above the old village of Notre Dame du Portage. The view from the deck or breakfast room is breath-taking, looking north across the St. Lawrence River towards Charlevois. We were upgraded at no added cost to the...

We were greeted by Sylvie who immediately made us feel welcome as she handed us a cocktail. Our room was clean and complete in every way, including the chocolates and demi-tass of liquour beside the bed. The B&B overlooks the St. Laurence and you can expect magnificent sunsets. Yves (the owner) treated us to a wonderful 3 course breakfast that...

We spent one night here, in this adorable B&B and home of Yves Poussard, a warm, welcoming man who understands good customer service and delights in taking good care of his guests and making them feel right at home. His property is beautiful, surrounded by green lawns and hugging the banks of the St. Lawrence river, which is less than...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night on our way back from PEI. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted, shown around, and given a delicious drink. We found the host to be very kind and knowledgeable, always suggesting places to go or eat. It was very close to Riviere-Du-Loup - it probably took us around 5-10...

For me his was intended as quick stops from Nova Scotia to Ontario and back. Indeed, it was much more. I stayed twice: once on the way to Ontario, then once on return, 10 days later. Host: Ideal, charming, helpful to a fault, cultured, knowledgeable about anything I asked. Comfort: as mentioned, the rooms are small (so keep unnecessary luggage...
