Great location for visiting this area. Ferries are a 5 minute walk away from hotel. Local shops/restaurants/bars are seconds away from the hotel door. Safe area. Hotel was clean and tidy, rooms well appointed, views dependent on what floor you're on. Breakfast was very good and hotel staff pleasant and friendly. Taking a car? Free parking is almost impossible in... More

The Hotel staff were very pleasant, the room was clean, there was not a beautiful view from the window but we didn't spend much time there. The buffet breakfast was well presented with a good choice of continental foods. The Hotel restaurant was very stylish and we were offered a 15% discount on the food. There are plenty of places... Spent 4 nights here at the end of June. The hotel suited our needs as a base for the few days we were in Stresa, clean, quite roomy and quiet. Breakfast was adequate. We were in room 435 which had a balcony and a partial view of Isola Bella which was pleasant. There is a 10% discount for the neighbouring... More

In early June, my wife and I spent 7 days at the Prima Vera hotel in Stresa, Lake Maggiore, Italy. Overall the trip was excellent. Stresa is a relatively small town on the lake. The Prima Vera location is excellent. It is behind the main church, about 50 yards from the main promenade, 80 yards from the ferry terminal to... More

The hotel is in a good location but the rooms are worn and tired. We are staying at the hotel now and it is about 25C inside and the staff have told us that the air con is not allowed to go on 'at this time of year'. We have had the doors to our room on the top floor... More

After doing some research on Tripadvisor and elsewhere, we had booked fully satisfied with the Hotel especially the very close proximity to the Lake and the dock. However when we reached the Hotel Primavera at 7:30 pm we were told that due to some "Technical Issues" they could not give us the room in Hotel Primavera were being given a... More

We stayed at the Hotel Primavera for one night to go hiking in the local area. It's close to Milan Malpensa, so very convenient. The hotel is in a great location, but take care as your satnav may send you down some very narrow streets which could be avoided if you use a map instead. The owner allowed us to... More

My husband and I enjoyed our 5-day stay in Stresa, made even more enjoyable by the personable and helpful staff of Hotel Primavera. Tucked into Via Cavour, and central to all Stresa activities, including lake ferries and promenade, our pleasantly spacious 4th floor suite was clean, comfortable and well kept. The balcony gave onto a lovely roof-topped view of the... More

The hotel is perfectly located, service is good and the price is reasonable. The ships to the famous Boromean Island is only a five minutes walk, the hotel is in the old town. The rest of sightseeing points are in immediate proximity. Negative points are parking opportunities, which are not close to the hotel (10 minutes walk). A second negative... More

We enjoyed the helpful staff and generous breakfast at Hotel Primivera, but it was very noisy and difficult to sleep. The church bells start no later than 8 am and, fortunately, stop at 7 pm. Friday is glass recycling day and that began at 6 am. The fun bar across the corner can be (and was one night) noisy until... More
