My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in Sept. The hotel is a 10 min walk to centre of town, along the beautiful promenade beside the lake and opposite fabulous looking hotels. It’s a family run old style hotel, with plenty of parking. The room had old style furnishing everywhere, is spacious and clean. We had a lovely... More

We stayed two nights and were thoroughly charmed by the hotel owner/team and the warm welcome, helpful assistance we were given re directions, boat options to islands, restaurants etc. We had adjacent rooms and had gorgeous lake views. One room had a shower, the other had a two step shower over tub. Vintage is a good way to describe the... More

We only stayed here one night but would thoroughly recommend. We were travelling by train - it was an easy walk from the station and conveniently located for the town centre and lakeside. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff charming. The owner, in particular, was warm and welcoming.

Because of the information from the hotel, we arrived early enough to visit the Borromees islands. The hotel is located near those beautiful hotels facing the lake. It is not as impressive as those, but it had a nice garden and fountain. We stayed for one night and had room number 33, with a huge terrace facing the lake. The... More

We stayed there for a few nights. I would say it is an old family-run hotel with a B&B feeling. Good breakfast with sweet and salty options. Clean. I think it is more suited for old couples, even the shower had a double step-better fit for showering sitting down-I think. The owner was very attentive and was quick to answer... More

Due to a mess-up with other accommodation, we booked a room here the day before arriving. Good choice! The hotel, in an restrained Art Deco style, has the sort of faded old world charm that is so much more memorable and enjoyable than a modern, all mod cons, chain hotel. The owner too was absolutely charming and could not have... More

I have mixed feelings for this hotel. Considering the price we paid, I think the hotel offers a good ratio between the quality offered and what you pay for. It is clearly a very old fashion family run hotel, that probably has not been touched since decades. You can see this from the rooms, that have very old furniture, not... More

The outside of the building doesn't promise much, but what's inside completely makes up for it. We had a comfortable room, with a balcony and a view of the lake. Incredibly friendly manager who was genuinely interested in us, and how we were doing. We were met by a curious goose, chickens, and a couple of friendly dogs. Really good... More

We stayed here for four nights and had a very pleasant stay. The beds in the room were comfortable, bathrooms clean, and nice grounds with some animals. The proprietor, Guiseppe, was very friendly and helpful. He always made you feel like a special guest. The breakfast was very nice and everything freshly made.

What a wonderful warm welcome we received arriving here. Like stepping back in time. Room had high ceiling and a grand balcony. Floors very creaky that added some charm. Bathroom a bit frustrating as it was very narrow but had the things you needed. Breakfast was a delicious Italian spread. Good location. Free parking, beautiful grounds.
