Spent three nights here - it's in a quiet location about ten minutes walk from the centre with easy on site parking. The place is made up of a number of large self catering apartments around a courtyard garden. Very old building, slightly worn but in a way that gives it plenty of charm and character, but very clean where...

I have stayed one night here on two occasions, both times in the same high ceilinged room with large bathroom, room 32 as far as I recall. It is true that the Residence is well hidden away but its lovely courtyard (with off street parking too) makes up for that, as does its nearness to the centre of Mantua. Though...

Dear Mrs We are happy that you are well, whenever he comes back in our Residence and that you appreciate the peaceful atmosphere that reigns. As for the breakfast: it is available, upon reservation, not only on weekends but during the week and has an extra cost, we are sorry for the mosquitoes, but we communicate that we are overcoming...

At 120 euros a night, this hotel is way overpriced. I sat on my bed and it fell over sideways. I asked reception why and they came up a bit later and put a little wooden table underneath to make it stay up. They also recommended that we keep the windows shut because mosquitos would come in and THEY DIDNT...

Ever watched with envy how people open double gates - one a massive wooden, then an iron one - with their keys and enter beautiful italian inner yards? After hotels in other cities we got this opportunity in Mantova, having booked this residence. A cosy green inner yard, country house-type rooms are clean. A very quiet place in the city...

We were booked into this residence for two nights by others, so cannot comment on value. Our room on the lower ground floor (number 0) was very large but gloomy and overlooked a car park. It, the bathroom, and the kitchenette were spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly. The hotel is in a quiet side street with onsite parking, a big...

Great venue for my wife to get ready for our wedding. Very accommodating, flexible & helpful. The rooms were big and quite authentic. I do not understand the bad reviews from all the Italian reviewers. Unfortunately my fellow country people can be too pedantic!

My wife and I stayed here for one night in September ‘12. The Residence in Centro is in a quiet location that is an easy walk to the historical center and good restaurants. There is a supermarket nearby, helpful because there is a small kitchenette rather than breakfast service. Finding the hotel is tricky. We approached the city from a...

Residence In Centro is a real stunner - very central, with lots of character and charm. It's also very good value. It was perfect for us for a two night stay, as we could explore all the historic parts of Mantua on foot from the door of the hotel, but wed go back for longer and use it as a...

Location is very good, right in the center of Mantua. And if you like woodwork, high wooden ceilings and a lot of space, you'll love it here. We found the rooms a bit outdated, but overall it was OK. Airco wasn't great

The best thing about 'in Centro' is that it is indeed in the centre of Mantua, equidistant (about 20 minutes stroll) from the Ducal Palace and the Palazzo de Te (at opposite ends of the town). There was secure parking within the central courtyard, very handy in the city, and it was very quiet indeed. Our room was massive, with...
