We're really happy to have chosen for this stay in Mantova/Mantua. We slept like a rose in the comfortable beds, a lot of choices for breakfast, certainly in Italy, easy to check in (with a code if there is no one present) and most of all a very friendly innkeeper, Stefano! From the 6 Porte Guesthouse you can easily drive a few minutes to the Campo Canoa Parking (where a free shuttle brings you to the city during the working hours) and visit Mantova/Mantua. Don't forget that the historical centre has limited access zones for cars. Really recommend this guesthouse, and Mantova is really worth a visit because of its unique historical look and feel.
We spent one night at 6 Porte Guesthouse in June 2019. The guesthouse is easily accesible from the highway and at a short drive from the free parking Campo Canoa, which has a free shuttle to the historical center in Mantua. The room was clean, but no fridge. There are some fridges in the eating area and at the first floor, but they have beverages and ice cream (fairly priced) that you pay at check-out. The host is very welcoming and nice, gave us detailed directions to the center, and around. Thank you. The rooms are cooled / heated with a modern system, through the floor, but on a very hot day the cooling was inefficient. The bathroom and the shower are spacious. The breakfast was fresh, excellent coffeee, sweets, pastries and fruits. All in all, it is a nice hotel / B&B in Mantua.…
Excellent accommodation. Only praise - no complaints. Modern surroundings . Typical Italian breakfast. There are also drinks and snacks available from the mini-bar on the landing at mini-bar prices! All staff very pleasant and helpful. Relatively easy to get into the centre of Mantova by car.
This a really nice place to say, very friendly owners who keep their property really clean and tidy every day. The beds are very comfortable, and spare blankets are available if you need more warmth. The breakfasts offer a good assortment of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt and croissants but maybe could do with a little meat and cheese or hard boiled eggs. There is ample off-street parking right outside. Can definitely recommend to others and would stay again.
Very nice and warm staff, lovely rooms and really close to Mantua centre is you want to visit the city and really close to the industrial area is you come to Mantua for work. I strongly recommend it!!!
We enjoyed this little oasis of comfort, design and friendly staff. Bicycles available if one doesn’t want to walk or drive to the centre. Very nice breakfast buffett overlooking the garden. Happy to recommend.
Rooms are very nice and clean, people are kind and breakfast is good. Beds are comfortable and you can sleep at best. Location is quiet and perfect to visit Mantua (10 minutes by car). There is a very good restaurant in the nearby (2 minutes by car).
This is a first rate B and B: friendly, comfortable, in a very pleasant neighbourhood and very good value. The hotel is modern and has its own garden open guests. The owner made us most welcome. Breakfast was simple and tasty and there is a communal minibar with inexpensive soft drinks
Last year for the first time I was in Montova not for pleasure but for working. Precisely I did a workshop of Yoga in B&B Porte Guest House. Hosted and co-organized by Marco. I can say that more that be working I was enjoying to be in his B&B, that forme is Boutique Hotel more than a guest house. Decoration, and installations where superb! But the top was the food and the way he treat all the participants in the workshop. The Guest House is well located since you can take public transportation if you do not have a car, just outside of the premises. No noise at all.. sleeping wonderful and if you want to get connected to internet there is wifi! This year 2014 we will repeat with him another fabulous workshop!!!
In November I attended a seminar given at the 6 Porte GuestHouse and I stayed for 2 nights. The accomodation is excellent, clean, inviting, quiet, modern, and very functional. I was greeted by the owner on my arrival and he gave me a tour of the facilities and showed me to my room. Later that evening he took me into the beautiful historic centre of Mantova and we had a pizza together and afterwards he gave me a mini-tour and historical details of lovely Mantova. The shower is big with plenty of hot water. The WIFI connection is super strong and very fast. The breakfast was very sufficient with a vast variety of choices from cereals, breads, croissants, and brioches. The coffee was excellent. The common area has a nice fireplace that produces a nice and comfy ambiance. I would definitely stay again in this lovely guesthouse.…
