This hotel offers everything you might need for a city trip. It is within easy walking distance from the Duomo and the old city centre, as well as from all shopping streets you might want to visit. The rooms are large enough, with sufficient storage room and the bathroom is spacious with bath, shower, toilet, hair dryer etc. Most important, the room and the bathroom was impeccably clean. Breakfast was all right, lots of sweets in the Italian style but also quite sufficient to have a Belgian breakfast!

I do advise to ask for a room away from Via Santa Sofia as this road is rather noisy.

In general, a perfect hotel for a city trip.

Stayed in a superior room which was a good size with a king-size bed and sofa. Bathroom had a shower over a bath. Shampoo/shower gel, hand soap and body lotion are provided. Breakfast was included and provided a decent selection and great cappuccino from the really friendly waitress. In fact, all the staff were friendly and very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was clean, warm and quiet; providing good sleep quality on a very comfortable firm mattress. I have deducted one star for the following small niggles: there was no kettle provided on the first night and when it was no milk was included (we bought some from a shop two minutes away), we had to ask for the tea and coffee to be replenished and the following day these were removed! The pan of scrambled eggs in the breakfast room was usually cold. The room was also rather stark and a few cushions, a couple of pictures and maybe a rug would make it much more welcoming. It was raining heavily during our stay and there were no hooks to hang our wet coats. Apart from these minor issues it is a decent hotel in a good location to walk to the sights and I would stay there again.

We stayed in the triple room. Lovely comfy beds. Tv in room but no English channels. Bathroom had a good shower and lovely fluffy white towels enough for us all & free shower gel, shampoo and complimentary cotton buds and nail file. We were in a basic room so no coffee making facilities which was disappointing but we coped. We paid for breakfast as was only €8 extra for the 3 of us for 3 days which was good value. My friend is gluten intolerant and they catered for her with cakes, biscuits etc but from the breakfast she also had the scrambled egg & bacon. They also had boiled eggs. Lots of lovely croissants cakes bread etc. I thought it was a lovely choice of breakfast at a very very good rate.

The location of the hotel is very good. From Milan Malpensa T1 airport we got the Malpensa Express into Centrale station. It was €13 each one way. This was a 50 minute journey. The tickets are paid for at the self service machines so you can get that once you arrive. You activate the tickets on a little machine at the station before you board. We got off at centrale station. There is no need to exit the station just follow the sign for trains and look for the yellow line M3. the train you need to get to hotel Canada is bound for San Donate but get off the fifth stop of the journey at Missori. From Missori station, Hotel Canada is about a 5 minute walk.

You need to get the metro tickets for zones M1-M3 these tickets last 90 minutes so can be used on trans, trains & buses. You buy the tickets at the metro kiosk. You can buy up to 10 tickets At a time but only when you validate one does that ticket start for the 90 mins. If you intend travelling daily by metro train tram etc you can purchase 10 tickets in advance at the kiosk machine in the metro to save you walking back to the station daily. We made this mistake. Only when you validate the ticket does the 90 min start counting down.

To get to the Duomo from hotel Canada is a 10 min walk or walk to Missori metro station and get the M3 train to Comasina but jump off at The Duomo.

Lots of lovely places and bars to visit near hotel Canada, turn right out of the hotel wall 5-8 mins and lots of lovely Italian restaurants. Or you can head back to the Duomo but we enjoyed staying local in the evenings.

I hope you find this information helpful and enjoy your stay in Milan and Hotel Canada

Front Desk was very helpful and friendly, the room had everything we needed, breakfast was great, and location was perfect! Hotel is within a 3 min walk to the local above ground tram stop, all the Milano Centrale attractions are within a few mins ride. This area is also very walkable to attractions, restaurants, and the Metro station.

I stayed in this hotel for four nights and really enjoyed my experience. The staff are brilliant, especially the wonderful Ludovico and Bernadetta, who couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable with all we needed, the breakfast had plenty to choose from, all served with a smile from the lovely Manny. The location is good, about a ten to fifteen minute walk to the Duomo and all the sights which fan out from there. Metro stops are close by, and there’s a small supermarket close by for all your snacking needs! I’d be happy to visit again.

This hotel was excellent! My family and I stayed there for three nights. There was great air conditioning, daily housekeeping, and a good breakfast buffet. The rooms were a good size as well. However, the accessible bathroom/roll-in shower bench was quite small. The staff were friendly and requested taxis for us when we needed them (taxis are a lot cheaper than Uber here).

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s rated as a 3 star but it’s extremely basic. Certain members of reception team didn’t have a particular good attitude in check in and the breakfast was beyond basic, also nobody taking control of the breakfast area. One tiny small tray of scrambled egg for the whole room??? The hotel is overcharging for what you receive, very poor and wouldn’t recommend. Also the reception control the air con and we had to move on the first evening as the room was unbearably warm

We choose Hotel Canada in Milano because we had stayed at one in Roma a few years ago.
The staff is great. As soon as my reservation was complete, someone from the hotel called to confirm the type of room I wanted and that is exactly what we received upon check in. Every time you come in or leave, the staff talks to you. They are very friendly and helpful. They are always willing to give you directions and tell you the preferred way to get from place to place.
The rooms are clean (absolutely spotless). Ours had a spacious bathroom, three twin beds and a desk. The only downfall was the AC was not enough to cool the room to our liking but also, Milano was experiencing insane heat. It was 98 degrees fahrenheit with blistering sun. The sidewalk and stone buildings were blazing hot which made it so the room could only cool to about 80 at best. Not the hotel's fault.
The location was great. 3 minute walk to the metro, 10 minutes to the duomo, and 15 minutes to Navigli.
Overall, we had a great stay at Hotel Canada and I would recommend it. We felt safe, it was clean, and the staff went out of their way to help.

Clean hotel. Hotel staff were very accommodating. Spoke Italian and good English. The Asian staff at the reception area were extra helpful. Breakfast was ok with complimentary bottles of water daily ( some hotels don’t provide this, especially in Venice). Check in was fast and convenient; check out time at 12 nn but they allowed us to do late check out and stored our luggages while we went around city center. Will stay here again next time I am back in Milan.

+ Everything was good. Good location and nice breakfast. Room had the kettle with coffe and tea, complimentary water, grissini snack, slippers and bathrobe. Good airconditioning and heating system.

- The only drawback is the bad isolation because we could hear other people (couple) arguing which was unpleasant… also, room could be renovated, a bit old styled, and the internet could be better also :)
