Great location (2 minutes walk to the Central Station and many places to eat/drink - you must try Ginseng Coffee in the metro subway), very clean, friendly stuff. The breakfast isn't the best, but in that way you will eat lighter in the morning (milk cereals and so on) :)

We stayed overnight for a morning train connection, room was the smallest i've ever seen. For the few hours we've stayed in was acceptable (also price). Staff were friendly. We couldn't try the breakfast, as we needed to leave early. not planning to come back, not recommended for a longer stay.

Rooms are cramped, dingy and VERY COLD! Shower leaked and flooded the bathroom. Breakfasts are modest, with tastless cakes. Very poor hotel. The location is good - near the central station, but you can find much better hotels with the same or better price around.

The location of Smart hotel couldn't be any better with its proximity to Milan Centrale and the Subway station. So we picked the place as soon as we saw the price. The staff was polite and the room was clean. At first we saw the room and thought it looks a little small but for one night it should be...

A good, basic hotel, providing the basics - clean room, everything worked, staff were friendly and helpful. Great location, walking distance to the train station with a wheeled suitcase. reasonable restaurants on your doorstep.

The hotel is well located, really close to the stazione centralle. The staff is polite and kind. The room is spacious but the downside is the cleanliness or the lack of it. First of all I don't like fliir with black tiles on bathrroms because ypu hardly see if they re dirty. In our bathroom the shower corners were rotten...

Horrible experience. Very rude staff. The location of the hotel is good but there must be other better options close to Milan Central Station. They gave me room where the bathroom shower didn't have stall or curtain and it used to get completely wet after shower. I asked them to change the room and the staff at the reception where...

I stayed there for one night, last night. Basic isn't a strong enough word. The bathroom is so small that there isn't even room to shower. There is a small glass door about 6 inches wide from floor to ceiling. Try to shower and not soak the entire bathroom! Impossible!! The floor was like a river, 2 to 3 inches...

Milano is always going to be an expensive place to stay, so its difficult to make comparisons with hotels in other towns that may be less expensive. Nonetheless, in overall terms I thought this was an expensive place for what was offered (particularly the small size of the room). Nonetheless, the staff were friendly and helpful, the inclusive breakfast was...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
