This charming hotel is located in an ideal spot for sight-seeing, public transport, shopping and access to the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Staff goes out of their way to welcome you and make you feel comfortable. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and had a lovely 6th floor room with an outside terrace overlooking the streets and rooftops below. The bed was extremely comfortable with an excellent assortment of pillows and housekeeping did an amazing job of cleaning and sanitizing every day. Large bath towels and a wide array of bathroom toiletries and supplies were also provided. Non-alcoholic beverages were complimentary in the mini frig; alcoholic beverages were priced accordingly. An electric kettle with instant coffee and tea in the room was a nice touch.
A lovely dining room and breakfast staff greeted you each morning. Eggs were cooked to order and the buffet offered a generous assortment of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurts, juices and pastries. A pancake station was also quite popular with guests. A cocktail hour was available in the same space and adjacent lounge each evening. Decorated cookies and assorted candies were offered throughout the reception area each day.
There is only one small elevator but it rarely required a wait. Front desk staff is always attentive and welcoming. On the day of our departure, we had a 6:30 am flight. Staff arranged for the 4 am taxi AND had a bag of breakfast foods for us to take along on our way to the airport! We really hated leaving the Spadari al Duomo. It was a home away from home and will be a wonderful memory in the years to come. Grazie!

This hotel is superb in every way. The location is perfect, right in the centre near the Duomo yet quiet and relaxing. The rooms are delightful and the breakfast full of delicious options. I’m saving the best for last: The people who work there, all of them, whether it’s the front desk, the breakfast and aperitivo (free by the way) ladies or the cleaning staff, you will be greeted with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a small hotel with a big heart and one that will leave many memories. I can’t wait to go back for the third time!

Very quiet for a hotel room in the middle of the city. Very friendly staff. I expected the breakfast to be cheap because it is included in the price, but the breakfast was delicious (made-to-order eggs, fruit, pancakes, fresh OJ, cappuccino, croissants, etc). See picture of breakfast.

Recommendations:
-walk to the restaurant called “Piz” (5 minute walk from hotel) as soon as you check-in and order a Margherita Pizza. It’s the best pizza in Milan.
-breakfast will give you free water bottles. I would bring 4 bottles of water with me to drink throughout the day.
-Room cleaning will provide new towels in the morning.
-use the free bathroom slippers that they give you, which are stored under the bathroom sink.

I paid $585 per night in September.

Don't underestimate how good this family run hotel is, all the 5' reviews are spot on!

On first glance, it might look a bit pricey, but the value for money is worth it. The hotel is in an ideal location, 2-3 mins from the Cathedral square, is exceptionally clean👌and has top, top staff in all positions - Georgio in the lounge / bar even speaks better English than me lol.

The added touches like complimentary snacks and soft drinks throughout the day, happy hours etc were well recieved and offers a fantastic breakfast buffet, including bacon, eggs etc.

Thank you very much for making our short break of 4 nights something to always remember, we shall be back!

We made a short trip to Milan and booked 3 nights at this hotel. The atmosphere is nice and looks stylish. The hotel is centrally situated very close to Piazza Duomo and public transport. There are some great shops in the same street that sell high quality Italian products. Breakfast was impressive with fresh eggs served as you desire. There was a great cereal/ fresh fruits section, charcuterie and cheese section, bread section, fresh spinach pie daily and a sweet section with various croissants, cakes, pies and warm pancakes with Nutella or maple syrup. A selection of jams is always ready for you on you table. Vegan and gluten free options were available too. The staff are always present during breakfast and always available for your requests. The room was very clean and good sized, equipped with anything we needed. The bathroom had all amenities and like most hotels the hair dryer is not super strong so in case you need to style not just dry your hair better bring your own. The fridge items are included in the price you only pay extra for alcohol, and room snacks are replaced daily. Although rooms are soundproofed from street noise, they are not from internal noise. That means you will hear every flushing and people talking in the corridor. If you need to sleep in you cannot as you will hear room cleaning at 8am. Maybe the cleaning staff could make some extra effort to avoid making noise (like the bag with empty glass bottles being removed that we could hear daily). Apart from that issue we really were enjoying our stay. The staff are really nice and helpful and they are aware about the sound issue but unable to help. I would definitely revisit this hotel though as overall it has many advantages. Thank you!!

I have stayed at several hotels in Milano during my travels over the years. This was my first time staying at Hotel Spadari and it was a very pleasant experience. Aside from the central location this boutique hotel is very well run, the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are in amazing shape, with top shelf bed linens and towels, housekeeping does a great job keeping the apartment in great shape. The a la carte breakfast served off the lobby is another great feature of this hotel. I am back in Milano next month will be staying at Spardari. I highly recommend Spardari for your next stay in Milano.

Hotel Spadari was in the central location, near Duomo, that I wanted for our recent trip to celebrate my twin daughters’ 25th birthdays. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were roomy and very stylishly decorated—something you’d expect when staying in the fashion city of Milan. This made my daughters’ and my first visit special, and I highly recommend Hotel Spadari. We had a wonderful time and my girls loved the accessibility to all the designer shops. Highly recommend!

We visit Milan twice a year and have stayed at the Spadari for many years. It is so well located for shopping, dining and tourist attractions. Everything is beautifully considered; interesting art works decorate the common areas and the rooms, their food offering is comprehensive and tasty and we love their china. The rooms are very comfortable and incorporate all required amenities (good linens/towels, nice organic toiletries etc) and we had a view of the Duomo on this occasion as we were on a high floor) The staff go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful visit (they have booked us great restaurants etc). I am really looking forward to returning in the Spring!

I had a terrific experience at the Hotel Spadari and highly recommend it. It's a 1-min walk to the Duomo but on a quiet, safe street. The hotel staff is all very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 5th floor, but there was a small elevator for the times I didn't want to take the stairs. The room was adequate size and I enjoyed the balcony for some fresh air. The bathroom was fully stocked with towels, robe, toiletries, and multiple items in the vanity kit. The breakfast was always a nice way to start the day. There was a sizeable buffet as well as eggs cooked to order. Make-to-order coffee was also available. I enjoyed the free snacks and water bottles available throughout the day, and the 6:30pm prosecco hour with some snacks was fantastic. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Staying at the Hotel Spadari may well have been the best decision I made in planning a trip to Milan with my wife and another couple. Based on reviews on this site I phoned 7 months in advance of our stay in October 2023. We wanted to be on the same floor with our friends and the staff made it a priority so it would happen - in fact we got adjacent rooms.
After a tiring overseas flight, we were met at the airport by an excellent driver booked by the hotel. Upon our late morning arrival at the hotel we were greeted warmly and made comfortable with cappucini and pastries while we waited for the rooms to be ready. When we got to our room, the second luggage rack I'd requested weeks earlier was in place. During our 4 night stay the staff made restaurant recommendations and bookings, phoned for taxis, and arranged a driver to take us to another city at the end of our stay. One of the staff used her excellent English to phone the small B&B in our next destination to be sure that we and the hostess there were on the same page about our two-couple room arrangements. As others have mentioned, the breakfasts are outstanding and the housekeeping is meticulous.
If we ever go back to Milan, I'll hold off booking our flights until I've first secured our accommodation at Spadari al Duomo.
