We were only in Milano for 24 hours, and arriving & departing by train, so wanted something close to the main train station, but easy to get to the key attractions, plus very comfortable after a long flight. Really nice hotel - room was spacious and very clean and the bath was a wonderful treat after a LONG day of walking....

It's situated next to the central railway station - you can see the big letters "Auriga" on top of the hotel building across the square when you walk out. Via G.B. Pirelli is a small side street, so you won't be disturbed by street noise, BUT you can here the sound of underground trains, even on the third floor (fortunately,...

Firstly the location, just 3min from the Central Station (so metro and also the bus stop from and to Bergamo Airport). Everyone in the reception speak English and are very helpful and polite (they advice us where to go for a dinner, give us maps, there were no problems with late coming back etc), also waiters in the breakfast restaurant....

We arrived in Milan for an overnight stay, planning a day to see the city, then leaving in the morning. We wanted something close to the train station in order to get an early start the next day. We were very pleased to walk out the front of the station and spot the Hotel Auriga (we saw a picture ahead...

Great location, central but quiet. 2 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station and the metro. About half an hour easy walk to the Duomo. There is a large underground parking close to the hotel. Nice, comfortable and clean rooms, although the décor is bit old fashion. English speaking friendly and helpful stuff. Good value for money. Nice cozy dining...

I recently stay in this hotel in October 2012. Upon arriving the receptionist was very rude during the check in process. He did not even give us a map of the city or tell us the hours for breakfast. It's a shame the service was bad since the hotels rooms were very clean and the breakfast was great quality. I...

A mere 5 minutes across the road from the Central train station this hotel is perfectly placed to explore both the city and the surrounding areas. Staff were friendly and polite with helpful local knowledge of nearby restaurants and attractions. Special mention to the Barman who was lovely. Room was spacious and very clean. The decor is rather interesting, possibly...

Small room. satellite tv with a thousand Italian channels and no English, room service meal which was really substandard and a very average breakfast the next morning. Could have overlooked it all had the hotel had 2 stars or perhaps 3. But not a 4 star hotel. Decor is tired and worn out. But better than the Marconi round the...

We found the staff helpful even though when we turned up Expedia had created a double booking for us (their error). The room was clean and tidy although I would agree with the review that describes the decor as carnivalesque but this still had charm. Shower good both hands free and hand held options. Breakfast although not expansive in offer...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
