Nice hotel. Room was fine, maybe a little bit '1970s' decor. Breakfast was very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Best think about the hotel? Great location in a nice neighbourhood. I would definitely stay there again. Good value for money.

I enjoyed my stay at the Carlyle Brera Hotel. It was a nice hotel that was walking distance to many restaurants and shops, so the location is very convenient. The room had traditional decor, it was roomy, and clean.

The room was comfortable and spacious. It was very well cleaned and smelled nice. The bathroom was well equipped and modern. The staff was very friendly and serviceminded. The breakfast was good, with lot's of choices and good coffee. The location was nice as well, not far from the central station and right next to a metro station.

I've stayed few times in this hotel, the area is good and the structure quite comfortable. However, last time I was sitting at the bar in the evening; there were two American girls having a drink, and a guy (from south Italy) from the staff started to comment about them, disgusting comments, then he went to the counter making other...

I stayed here for one night on December 29th. I did not specifically select this hotel, but I booked on Hotwire (blind booking site). I arrived way before check-in time, but they were able to accommodate me and check me in early. I had a single room. Which was fine. Small, but not the smallest I've seen. Plus sides of...

I was in this hotel for 1 night during a business trip and find it a nice place to stay. It is in an older style but has a good feeling and is clean. Rooms are perfect, bathrooms is not that big but suffient enough.

We stayed in Carlyle Brera for 6 nights on the new year. Personnel is responsive, but hardly friendly. Breakfast is minimalistic and never changes. Rooms remind of old soviet hotels - cheap wood, small spaces. Okay if you just sleep inside, but that's it. Hotel located in 15 lazy walk from Porta Garibaldi and around 20 minutes walking from Duomo....

We spent 2 nights.comfortable place, great breakfast . Nice staff. Room was adequate in size and clean. Beds were comfortable. From central train station to the hotel was about 10 euros. There is a metro station nearby but we didn't need as we took a walk to places we visited

Stayed here for a night - great location to visit Dumo cathedral and Milan center - around 15-20 minutes walking distance with good variety of shops and restaurants on the way. 50 yards away from metro station Moscavo which made life easy to get in and go to main stations for onward journey. Staff was friendly and breakfast was really...

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
