Hotel Star is in an excellent location being very close to the major attractions around the Duomo, La Scala, Sforza Castle and the Brera. There are lots of restaurants within a short walk. Breafast is very good and the staff there provide exceptional service and helped us with recommendations for restaurants and with locating car parking close by. Our room...

The hotel is nice, very clean with unusual pictures. Staff are lovely, speak excellent English and a great breakfast. The location is outstanding, you can walk to all the major landmarks in minutes. We didn't need to get the Metro anywhere. The only drawback is our room (at the front) was quite noisy, mainly from passing trams but on Friday...

The positives were that the staff were absolutely lovely. I was traveling for work and they could not have been more helpful. They have great recommendations and we're very friendly. The location is also fantastic. You are right In the centre. The negatives for me were my room and the condition of the hotel. The reception area is nice and...

Dear Mrs Atkins Thank you to remind us. If you write after two months so badly, it must be sure a bad experience for you. We are sorry about your next room guest and our thin walls. And you didn't mentioned them to us in five days of your stay. We don not know whom make the reservation. Euro 66...

Came to Milan to explore and see Le nozze de Figaro at La Scala. Great location, nice little room. Quite comfortable. But if you don't like the sounds of the city, find another place. Don't stay at a place in the heart of the city and give it a bad rating because it is in the heart of the city....

This was our second time staying at the Hotel Star. We had originally selected it for its close proximity to La Scala. We squeezed in two visits to the opera, a day trip to Lake Como and touring the sites in Milano on our first trip. We knew then that we would return on a future visit as we fell...

As a result of the Air BnB cockup, and leaving My Lovely House, (which was anything but). I found Hotel Star to be a winner. Staff attentive, friendly, swift checkin, detailed and organised. WiFi at the ready, room clean, comfortable, so many TV Channels, I lost count. Breakfast (included), rivals that of a US Hotels and you're spoils for choice....

Located between and close to many of the tourist attractions, near some excellent restaurants and the tourist office, good rates with a adequate breakfast makes Hotel Star a great place to stay in Milan. Our room #43 was spotless and had the additional benefit of large balcony.

We stayed 2 nights at the Star. The staff were very friendly and most helpful! Breakfast was ok. The room was larger than most big city European hotel rooms. Nice bathroom with tiny shower. The location is excellent, a five minute walk from the Duomo. I would stay again on a future trip!

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
