I have stayed in cheap hostels before, and certainly don't expect luxury when travelling on a budget. However, hotel Medea fails to reach the basic standards of hygiene and service. Main complaint is the stench of stale cigarette smoke throughout the hotel; both members of staff were heavy smokers and smoked in the main reception area which then spread to...

I stayed in a four room shared space. The staff are accommodating. The ride from the metro in a taxi was12 Euro. It has good facilities - the supermarket is open 24hrs 3 min walk. Good wifi. I'd stay here again, it was clean and good for the budget. Grazi tante Hotel Medea.

We were booked into a 4 bed girls dorm but when we got there it was six girls beds squished into a room. There was no air conditioning - this cost and extra €5. The room was hot but did have a large window. There were only 4 plugs between the 6 beds which proved a slight issue. The bathroom...

Almost thought the small lift was a mirage after having lugged bags up stairs at other hostel, staff were curt, room was decent. Bathrooms were very small and the door wouldn't shut properly which was a bit inconvenient given we were sharing with two strangers. Made the whole bathroom experience more anxiety inducing than it should have been. Location wise...

Glad we only had one night here as any more than that would've been too much. The staff were pretty unhelpful. When paying for the room the woman had no change, I asked her if I could use one of the two card machines in front of her but she said no. Luckily I was able to give her the...

Affordable accommodation in Milan's city centre. Very simple and basic, but clean and good wifi none the less. I loved the bathroom. The owner is a lovely man who helped us out in a time of need. We missed our last train and he was kind enough to help us out with a nights accommodation at a reduced price, despite...

I stayed here for two nights while in Milan. The room (4 bed dorm) was small and the bathroom door didn't close properly nor did it lock. Air conditioning is not included in cost of room - this must be purchased for an additional €5 which meant sleeping at night was very hot as it was the middle of the...

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. We stayed in a 5 bed dorm, however for 2 of the nights they added an extra bed to the room without notifying us, limiting the small space even further and making the room hotter (air-conditioning is not included). It's a 5-ish minute walk to the train station, but to access central...

Booked flights for Milan and found we couldn't find any reasonable/cheap accommodation in Milan Centre due to the Champions League final which we half expected anyway. All cheaper accommodation was booked up leaving choice of 300 Euro places available, bathroom sharing hostels or being situated 20km out of Milan, but after lots of research found Hotel Medea in the Citta...

Stayed here for one night and glad it was just one. Room was tiny and crammed with old furniture. Was not very handy for any of the sights or public transport. Would not stay here again, would pay a bit more and get a lot more.
