Just a short walk down from the central station, street isn't the prettiest, but the hotel is an oasis. Not sure why it only has two stars, but the quality of the room suggests more. Maybe it's the lack of coffee making facilities, or a...More
The hotel is in a great location near stazione centrale and lima metro station. It is a clean hotel but was too expensive for what it offers. There was no elevator and the breakfast was poor. The hotel offers free wifi.
I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It is only two stars, and it looks small from the outside, but the inside is SO well-kept and beautiful. Management is crazy nice -- from the moment we walked in, he helped us with directions/gave...More

Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the
terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.

There are three options:
1. We walked it took about 20 minutes, check out Google for directions Via Vitruvio runs to the right and parallel to the the front of the Station. There is some pavement work going on last week, but this was not a big issue for us.
2. Taxi The fare to St. Garibaldi (the further away station) was 10 Euro so should be about the same or less. The taxis are metered.
3. Metro - did not use it so can not advice, but others may be able to help, or you can contact the hotel directly, they were very helpful. Just checked the map, and the hotel is half way between metro stops, don't this this is a good option.
I hope this helps.
