This is a clean, comfortable and well situated hotel for the bars and restaurants of the Navigli area. The breakfast is a plain continental affair minus the protein, no cheese, eggs or ham which is apparently typical of an Italian breakfast. There was however nice warm croissants and lots of sweet jams, honey and biscuits. The coffee machine was a... More

The hotel is comfortable and good for a few nights. It is very close to the Navigli which has nice bars and restaurants. A few minutes by tramp to Duomo. The breakfast is cold. And for the price what can you really expect!

The only trouble we had was finding it. Booking.com directions were non existent. Having arrived early the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Only 15-20 mins walk from the bustling cafe culture and restaurants of the Navigli and a good 20 mins walk from the Duomo, La Scala and the swanky fashion shops

Stayed here for two nights, and I will recommend this hotel who loves a night life, as 5 - 10 minutes walk from the hotel there are tons of pubs for drinks. It is also near The Milano Duomo. So great location to stay in Milan

Nice basic hotel with air conditioned room handy for city centre and navigli canal area. Hotel has been refurbished to a decent standard. Could have had a bit more choice at breakfast buffet, not a big deal as our preference was to eat out anyway.

This hotel is more like a bed and breakfast. It is convenient for the centre of Milan which is its main plus. The breakfast, although not particularly extensive in its choice is a decent start to the day. A few minor downs, the air con wasn't working so the window had to be left open, which was not good due... More

Stayed here for two nights on an exploration of Northern Italy. Was not sure what to expect for the price and other reviews but was very satisfied - the location is brilliant with an easy and direct walk to the majority of sights (if you like walking!) and there are numerous cafes, bars and restaurants a stones throw from the... I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, but then I booked it. Don't be tricked but the only one star of the hotel, this structure deserves at least 3. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The owner such a friendly and welcoming person that helped me in several occasion. The location is perfect too! Right in piazza 24 maggio,... More

The hotel itself is an average B&B style and a bit tired. Breakfast is limited. They guys behind the reception were very kind and most helpful. With regards to its location, I would agree it a good one. plenty restaurants, bars, bakeries, small take away pizzerias and a small supermarket Carfour Express are all within 5 min walking distance.

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
