Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Owner is the nicest. Very relaxed place. Clean, recently remodeled accommodations that were bright and well accommodated. The deserts were delicious. The young men who worked there were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend stopping or staying.

By far, Rifugio Dona was our favorite rifugio on our week-long trek through the Dolomites. We stayed in both well-dressed as well as simple rifugio's but what made Rifugio Dona our favorite was our host, Andrea. He was classic Italian mountain man. His wife baked all the breads and desserts while he served speck, and Italian dumplings with a German twist. There are only 3 rooms. Our room had 2 sets of bunk beds and a single bed. The irony was that the single bed was a guest that lived 50 miles from our home town in Oregon. The scenery is spectacular and the donkeys adorable! Enjoy the trek

We think this is truly a true retreat! splendid location in a beautiful valley, the guys who run it are super kind and nice and great food...
Last year we even managed to sleep here one night, there were four of us and they placed us in the single house located in front of the refuge, beautiful, completely made of wood with a wonderful view of the valley.
It has become a regular stop every year.

After our excursion to Antermonia, we stopped at this refuge for lunch. As soon as we sat down we pointed out to the girl that I am allergic to nuts and that my boyfriend has celiac disease, and, let's say so, the reaction was not the most understanding, almost as if it were a burden to feed us and ours were simply "whims". ” (I point out that I had already called previously to make sure there were no problems in this regard). The food is good, but honestly I've eaten better in other refuges. Overall I wouldn't recommend it.

We arrive in this splendid valley around 3pm after a challenging trip to the foot of Antermoia!
We immediately order beers, radlers and other drinks in quantities eager for refreshment, while I am preparing to pay one of our group is verbally attacked and insulted for having taken a bite of a sandwich he had in his backpack. All without him being seated at a table and in front of 8-10 year old children with swearing and swearing. As if that wasn't enough, another comes out of the kitchen and continues shouting all kinds of insults.
Never seen anything like this in 40 years in Trentino!!
