This b&b is away from the chaos of The tourist trail on the Giudecca. It's good value with views onto the water but it is quite raw. The real downside is breakfast. A pile of processed food, bad coffee and hot chocolate. Best to skip breakfast, turn right out of the hotel where there is a great coffee place just... More

I really I don't understand what it means a pile of processed food. At Cà Isabella is not served processed food. We must serve packaged food because maybe you do not know that in Italy by law B & B must serve only packaged food, however as you know at Cà Isabella every morning every guest has butter, jam, yogurt,... I'm a mature pensioner and I found walking the three levels of steep stairs difficult to manage. The young owners were available when we arrived, but after that we dealt with the grandma who was nice but spoke no English. The room, situated in the back, was full of mosquitoes and I was bitten severely during the night. We were finally... More

I suggest you to read carefully the informations about an hotel before choosing it. In the description of Cà Isabella, you can see that B&B is located at the second and last floor of the building and there isn't any elevator. If you have difficult to reach the second floor, why did you choose Cà Isabella? As for mosquitos, perhaps... More

Our room was okay, but the view was great, looking over the water at the rest of Venice. The breakfast room has the same great view. The location is close to a vaporetto stop, which made getting from Giudecca to Venice pretty easy. The room had all the important things, but there were some inconvenient details. The shower was a... That was such a neat old place near a historical cathedral with a good breakfast and the best of all to the right a very good restaurant and to the left a Hilton with a killer bar on the 8th floor . You will need a water taxi so dont get snookered and hire some guy for 80 euros when... More

Great little B & B, just make sure your knees are up to the 35 steps ! Clean, comfy bed (a rarity ), close to vaporetto stop, lovely proprietors and great views to the main island. Price a little more than I would have paid staying on the mainland but much quicker and easier to everywhere. Would definitely recommend. Oh,... More

Good location, closer to the waterbus station. The Island Guidecca is quiet and intimate. The welcome was nice with some explanations from the owners, who were already discreet. The room was comfortable and clean (the house cleaning is made all days). The breakfast was complete with enough to eat... But a lot of things was packaged (fruits juices...). The owners... More

Nice location, a waterbus ride away from the crazy buzzing energy of Venice proper. Breakfast was mediocre—packaged food, one serving of tea/coffee with no ability to refill, and pieces of meat between two styrofoam plates, the last morning of which there was hair wedged between slices. Our towels were not changed, toilette paper was rationed for three adult guests, our... More

Our family of 3 stayed at this delightful B&B on the Giudecca Canal last week for 4 nights. Our 3-bed en suite rooms was comfortable and a reasonable size, and cleaned daily. The B&B has a comfortable sitting room/breakfast area which, wonderfully, overlooked the buzzy, stunning canal. Each morning we drank our coffee (excellent) and watched the boats and other... More

Greeted by such a warm, friendly hostess, we swiftly settled in, and loved our room! Big comfy bed and ensuite, very quiet too - so we slept like logs every night. Staying in Giudecca

Neighbourhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ca Isabella is an ancient palace along the Giudecca's Canal near "Molino Stuky" and Hilton Hotel. B&B Ca Isabella is situated at the second and last floor with a panoramic view over Venice and over St. Mark's Bacin and it's elegantly restored and furnished. A double bedroom and a triple bedroom look out over a quite private court, while another triple bedroom looks out over St. Mark's Bacin and has a panoramic view over Venice. Every bedoom has its own private bathroom inside, air conditioning, minifridge, hairdryer. From the spacious dining room, where breakfast is served every morning from 8:00 to 10:00 and where you can relax on the sofa every time you wish, you can admire the same panoramic view over St. Mark's Bacin and over Venice too. Ca Isabella is in a wonderful position, because it's very close to the waterbus stop ( 150 metres), and from here it takes only 10 minutes by waterbus to St. Mark's square, 18 minutes to train station, Piazzale Roma Terminal and Tronchetto car Park. Giudecca is a part of Venice very well served from public transport means during the day and during the night too. ... more   less
