we booked this Hotel after reading reviews on this and other sites, and contacted the Hotel by e-mail.The staff were extremely helpful, Irina, Francesco and Marco, and when we met them we were not disappointed. The Hotel is classed as 3 star, and is extremely clean and with items we have not seen in 4 star accommodation. The rooms are...

Great location as only a 8 minute walk to train station. Very helpful staff. The lady (Irina was her name I think) even tracked down a gym for us so that we could get a workout in! Beautiful view off our balcony and the rooms were tastefully decorated. Very happy!!

Just back from Venice today after spending 3 nights in the hotel. I would certainly stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel. The location is ideal 2 minutes walk after getting off the bus from the airport. Breakfast was good and very fresh. Room although compact was clean. We had a corner room with views onto...

My wife and I booked a trip to Italy in October 2013. I will have to say that this hotel was in a very good location. First of all as you get into Venice and get dropped off in Piazzale Roma the hotel is within minutes from the bus stop. So in the case that you are carrying several bags,...

I looked on TripAdvisor for a reasonably priced hotel that was convenient to get to from the airport. I found the reviews to be very accurate. To get to the hotel from the airport, take the #1 bus (turn left as you exit baggage claim and look for the bus ticket counter...the staff was very helpful in guiding us to...

This hotel is in an excellent location; especially if you are travelling to Venice using the local bus service from Marco Polo airport. We stayed in one of the double rooms and it was a nice size for the two of us. The bathroom was very small but so long as you were prepared to sit down in the bath...

Nice hotel, very friendly staff who spoke fluent English, and were helpful. The room was large and well furnished, but no coffee making facilities. The hotel was very clean. Would have liked a hot option in the breakfast buffet. The hotel can be seen from the Place Roma so is easy to reach from the airport, bus is €6 or...

From a hotel near train or bus stations you can almost always expect only the basics, but that's not what happened with this hotel. The surprise began before arrival, when Francesco attendant was very helpful to solve a problem with the reservation. The room was facing the channels, very large, clean ans nicely decorated. The twin beds was comfortable, and...

Amazing location (don't have to carry your luggage through stairs and tiny streets as it is located right near the Piazzale Roma, terminus of the Airport bus), in the middle of three wonderful venetian canals. Staff correct and polite, more than satisfying varied breakfast. Weaknesses are clearly 1. the size of the rooms (quite tiny!), 2. slight lack of property...

My family and I stayed here in July of 2013 and we had a fantastic experience. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly especially the woman who ran breakfast. She always asked how our previous day went and was very friendly to chat with. Location was perfect for us. It was close to the train station and cruise port since...

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
